I was scrolling through salvage cars and found this Audi A4 that was going to be scrapped unless someone bought it! It failed its MOT miserably… but can we save it and get it through the MOT without costing an arm and a leg?

The previous owner would likely have cost him or her approx £1,000 to fix it, when you add in the labour costs too, hence why they decided to get rid of it, this is why i love watching your channel and many others who save older cars from scrap.

Much better than most of the super car stuff 99% of viewers can't aford. Sadly the bigger a chanel gets the more super car shit we see and the less of a chanel i watch personaly.

Definitely think you should do more of this type of content. Plenty of YouTubers do damage repair but buying these type of ‘condemned’ cars and getting them back on the road is a win win situation.

Love these vids, couldn't agree more about saving these older cars! I've got a 15 year old A6 that has 200k on the clock, absolutely love keeping it on the road as a second car for the tip. It's incredibly reliable and well built, far better than the new crap they make nowadays.

Sounds likely the EGR replacement and still having EML, plus a lengthy failure sheet made the owner shit bricks.
If the previous mechanic had plugged that EGR in properly, previous owner may well have kept it and had the minor suspension work done.

One shoddy mechanic and a more than capable car ends up getting crushed.

Ebay's 'Assured Fit' is, ironically, not fit for purpose. It only filters by make/model/year, not even transmission. So if you have an automatic model and search for a gearbox, you get results for manual gearboxes with a big green tick stating 'Fits Your Vehicle'. Never mind the finer more specific parts with multiple options.
