Sister Soundtrack

For today's first time reaction, we're finally listening to Pink Floyd's legendary Comfortably Numb (Pulse 1994) -- a song our dad has loved for years. From David Gilmour's unforgettable guitar solos to the emotion and meaning behind the lyrics, and the story connected to the Wall, we quickly realized why so many people consider this one of the greatest rock performances in the history.

David sings beautifully with his voice but also from his heart out of the guitar.

"Most guitarists plug in to an amplifier. David Gilmour plugs directly in to your soul".

Wow, I’m still amazed with you Dads recommendations, you two ladies got to experience the best of music, and the artist that worked tirelessly on perfecting their craft

Thankyou for not pausing during the solo. I didn't go to that concert, but I still have my ticket from their concert in Perth, Western Australia on Feb 24, 1988 where i was 20 feet from the stage. My best mate asked me to play this song at his funeral which we did after he died of leukemia at 26. 😵‍💫

What I find incredible is that people, in 2026, don't know Pink Floyd. I understand why the world is in trouble.
World should listen Pink Floyd to settle down and understand life.

Kudos to Dad for keeping this music alive through the next generation. I have done this with my daughter her whole life as well. Many a aimless cruise in my pick-up truck listening to great music and anything she had to get off her chest. Many concerts and music related trips to r&roll HOF or Nashville whatever her heart desired.

The Pulse concert deserves many more reactions by you. Some of my favorites: the beautiful High Hopes and Wish You Were Here, Gilmour's guitar mastery in Sorrow, and the light-blazing finale-----Run Like Hell, which unleashes the Full Roar of Pink Floyd's engine.

The greatest thing you will listen to is to hear Dark side of the moon from start to finish with headphones.
You are welcome x

One of these days from pulse is a must vid. It brought the house down. It's simply epic

When David Gilmour straps on his guitar he plugs it right in to your soul.

Your father has great taste in music! I'm a 66-year-old man. I love this music and have been to see them live at every chance ❤💯

David Gilmour is 80 years old and still rocks that solo to this day!

Playing a guitar solo is not about the quantity of notes played, but the quality

I’ve been listening to Pink Floyd since the late 1970s, but 1987 I bought the A Momentary Lapse of Reason CD and nothing was the same after that—the best band ever for me.
Thank you, and keep going on.
