Recently a gardening channel I follow, published a video warning about AI blog posts and resources in the cooking, gardening and health industry. It all started when she attempted to source a mass quantity cinnamon roll recipe of all things!  Turns out she would have wasted $35 of ingredients, if as an experienced baker, she couldn't have saved the recipe. Upon further research she found a BUNCH of AI articles, studies, blogs etc... that came up first in various searches for the topics she specializes in on her channel. She gave MANY of the warnings you provide here to verify the information is of quality.

I am literally mind blown about the AI generated books. That feels like it shouldn't be legal to pass off as a real person... Thanks for touching on that, definitely learned a thing lol

on ai generated books: it's also the bizzare repetition and vagueness, emptiness of what it's said and it's repeated without no new information given just with different words over snd over and over!!!!

Thank you so much for this! I've gotten bullied out of several witch groups by people thinking that there's only one way to do things, and they shut down anyone else with a different opinion. It's frustrating because I know new witches are falling for this "one way" bullshit. So thank you for shining a light on this, as always, it came when I needed it most. Bless you and your work!

Thank you for calling out Mari Silva. I’m not 100% sure, but I suspect that Aurora Kane and  Anastasia Greywolf are AI also. It’s hard to find much info on them and it seems to be the same bio. This was a great video that I think everyone in this community needs to see regardless of whether they are new or not.

I have a lot of unverified personal signs and symbols… it’s why I know that people’s practices are so specific to the individual. Being under one umbrella of one specific belief system or practice holds you back. Thank you for your content and your videos.

I just would like to touch on shadow work. Most people that talk about shadow work only touch on the shadow parts that are what you fear and how to work through your fears. But for me shadow work has been about accepting the fact that I feel loved comforted and accepted in the dark. It has been about accepting my twisted dark humor along with all my dark twisted thoughts and sarcasm and all the things that other people have judged me for. Shadow work for me has been about accepting every aspect of myself and learning to be who I am regardless of if it may make people feel uncomfortable. For me it’s been about working through my fears and also accepting my authentic self fully. Thank you Ivy for this video.

Mari Silva, and Silvia Hill (both on Amazon) have surprisingly similar books, covers and titles (even quantity of said books published within the last 3 years) - I'd almost be willing to say identical.

This is such a good video Ivy! I feel like with the rise of social media (especially tiktok) people just expect instant information, and the skill of research is being lost.

Yes! Thank you for calling out Mari Silva!! I was considering one of their books until I saw the amount of subjects they covered. I then googled the name and came up with nothing so I have passed on those books.

I wish to share my funny experience that i had when it comes to symbolism because i think that it shows how signs and symbols can be "charged" to take on some specific meaning for every individual.
Few years ago we moved to a small town and then later during my first fall here i had an owl land outside of my window for few nights straight. At first i didnt care and i even wasnt paying attention. But then i noticed and i started thinking how owls are kinda nocturnal and i was thinking about how energy drinks use owl design on a can, and then for some reason i started to worry if this was a sign that i wont sleep... I dont know why i thought that, but those thoughts just came to my mind even tho owls usually represent wisdom. Anyways, few days later owl came back and i slept really badly that entire week and troughout nights i would have racing thoughts. Basically i made my own sign that means that if an owl comes to me i wont sleep. I realize that my first insomia could very well be unrelated but now it became related and has happened several more times since then.
Anyways, i am not saying that there arent more powerful symbols out there that can affect others but i guess we can transmute some of them too.

Although, when I think about it, it doesn't come as much of a surprise to me that there are AI generated books polluting the resources we have on the spirituality, witchcraft, etc., I had never actually stopped to do so! Thank you very much for making me aware of this! Much obliged!

My rules of thumb:
1. Truth is almost always counterintuitive. If it "makes sense"....question it.
2. If an authority has hubris...find THEIR teacher and learn from them.
3. Take your own ideas and put them in the most extreme scenario, and see if they still hold true.
4. View academia with suspicion.
5. Never choose personal convenience or comfort over truth.

I found this video at the right time, I've got a book by Mari Silva in my basket 🤦🏻‍♀️ I hadn't had a chance yet to look at the author and I was feeling a little overwhelmed trying to find a good book. I came across the same book by different authors a few times, it's a nightmare.
