hate that concert culture now is about "who can get barricade" and "who is a bigger fan" instead of actually enjoying the concert and live music 😭

There's a story of a venue telling an audience to not queue early because it was far too cold and would risk health.  People camped overnight anyhow. The venue let people that got there on time in first, followed by those that got there a bit too early that morning, followed by the folk that camped overnight. It was the venue's way to not reward or encourage dangerous behavior. I support it 100%.

Dipper literally fell asleep waiting inline to watch the next Jarvis video

I'm just gonna say it, normalize NOT camping for concerts.  Act like a normal human, if you REALLY want to try to be first in line show up really early the day of the concert and find a spot. This kind of obsession is extremely unhealthy, and I have a Green Day themed tattoo on my arm.

In case you’re wondering if Bombas actually donates socks, I work at a fairly small homeless shelter and we regularly get huge boxes of socks. They’re great quality too

These people are inches away from charging each other $100 for the "save your spot" service

"excuse me, are you in the virtual que?" i would actually, genuinely assume they're a crackhead, nod, and walk away with my product because wth 💀

Jarvis can you save my spot in line?

So like, what happens when two competing unofficial lines happen simultaneously? Who gets the priority? What's to stop anyone from just claiming they've got their own queue that supercedes another?

I work security behind the barricade, I'm so tired of people at the barricade who are not dancing, not singing, just emotionlessly watching or recording and getting upset at people who are enjoying the concert

Sorry if I’m shopping and someone tells me about a “virtual queue “ I’m gonna laugh , grab what I want and walk away

I am enamoured by your dog lying so stiff on the ground for the first part of the video.

Years back I went to a The 1975 gig — I’m a wheelchair user, so I had to be taken by security through an entirely different entrance to access the show.

But these “camping” types were there and screamed awful things at me because I was “breaking their rules” and “getting in before people who deserved it”. Wild.

This spot in line was promised to me 3000 years ago

Unfortunately experienced this at a kpop concert this summer. “Line leaders” were miserable people, and the unrest between the campers and non-campers got so heated there was a stampede for the ticket area. They ended up randomizing the concert entry order which was the fairest outcome I think we could have ended up with.

'camping has been around for decades' is def one of the statements of all time.  One could even say humans were avid campers from the very beginning.

Everytime someone in my irl life says gold, I have the urge to go "gooooooold" after in the softest of whisper for the effect. I blame you.

these feel like the people from families who have 1 person wait at a ride at an amusement park then last second they bring their 7 kids and 4 uncles to join them in line

I cannot explain the distress my autistic ass would feel if i showed up to a concert having made sure i know everything about the etiquette with all necessary materials and this happened

i went to a billie concert recently. we got there a couple hours early and had stood in line for maybe 45 minutes before doors opened, by the time we got right in front of the doors to get in the building a hoard of people came running up the hill and were cutting in front of everyone and shoving their way into the door. it was genuinely so rude and appalling having dozens of these girls forcing themselves in front of everyone out of no where. i don’t know if they were doing some fan made line or what but it was such entitled behavior. i’m used to some disorganization when it comes to venues dealing with large numbers of people, but i’ve never seen such blatant disrespect like that within fandoms
