From Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport to Pattaya, with updates from my recent travels to Phuket, Krabi and northern Thailand, this vlog shares the real experiences behind the headlines.

I’ll show you the difficult journey to the airport during the recent flooding, followed by the improved situation I found when I returned from Pattaya. We’ll look at airport arrivals, baggage claim, the e-gate update for eligible returning visitors, and what to prepare before flying to Thailand.

Worried about getting from the airport to your hotel? I share my experience with airport transportation, taxis, Grab, and buying the Suvarnabhumi Airport to Pattaya bus ticket, including the VIP bus price during my trip.

In Pattaya, we check the on-and-off rain, everyday travel conditions, and our stay at Season Five Hotel—what we paid and what you get for your money. Back in Bangkok, we see the city’s atmosphere and talk about rainy-season travel, affordable hotels and domestic flights, and the transition toward high season.

For international departures, I recommend reaching the airport 3–4 hours before your flight, with extra time for the journey during heavy rain.
