"SMART" people on Wall Street IS the problem.  What we need is "WISE" people.  But Wise people would never get hired

They're not incompetent. They're thieves. There are no banks on Wall St. nowadays. They're all crooked bookies who work for the mafia.
Dowd mentioned all of the fees that they make. All of that fee "income" should go into escrow for a couple of years and be refunded when their rigged market  inevitably goes teats up.

Absolutely No Bailouts for any of them!  Let them fail, let them learn not to do it again.  It is definitely headed for a crash & the thieves are trying to unload their disasters on pension & insurance funds.  We need regulation.  Destroying regulations only benefits the scams & cons.

It's hard to prove we're in a recession when the government is cooking the books.

I called this the “so glad that’s behind us” market. I’ve never seen one like it before. Whether it’s the SVB failure, or the Iran war, after a few days, the bad news is simply dismissed. Wow, so glad that is behind us.

When too much credit exists bad business plans are enabled then eventually fail resulting in defaulted bonds and crashing equities.
A lot of the new bad business plans are hidden in private equity.   American water, food, power and residential security is too important to jeopardize. Private equity should be regulated out of these four areas.

Everyone is a genius until the first big bank fails

Corruption needs to be prosecuted.

I understood everything they were saying for the entire video. usually i never understand these guys. this one here was clear and on point.

When one political party tries to say truth no longer matters then why would one expect to see truthful market signals?

We are no longer talking about what’s going on here in the U.S. Thanks to us, the entire world is about to go down! Every Country wants to get away from the U.S. The dollar is loosing fas, and the U.S. is buying Yen. Our power grid is too stressed, and we may be without power for up to a year!  I think over 50% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck, and they own homes! The America that is, or was is over!  It’s much worse than anything we’ve ever heard of before!  I’m just an old lady. What do I know!

What bothers me about this is the long lag time--a few quarters--before the failures officially hit the books. Some failures will take six months, nine months, before we hear about it.

Sharpest discussion ever, thank you. I think the Jeff and Ed show was the best “no ‘BS’ presentation in recent memory. Clarity matters.

Love Ed's analysis 🎉

Great video...awaiting the next time time he's on the show

Excellent! Excellent!! Excellent!!! Best discussion I've seen that encapsulates the multifaceted conundrum that has reappeard to haunt us. So far we've seen the Ghost of the Past & Ghost of the Present. Where is Ghost of the Future? If Dickens will fogive me...  Please get together again soon because events are beginning to accelerate.

As far as smart people go, when a smart person with a lot of money screws up (which literally happened THIS WEEK) things go pear shaped very quickly.  Anyone can lose money, it takes a real genius to blow up a 40 billion dollar portfolio.

If I hired a fund manager, I wouldn't ask him to beat the market. I'd ask him to be able to look me in the eye in 30 or 40 years and say, "we survived some really crazy shit, and you came out ok."

USA has ZERO accountability which leads to  weasels and thieves being in control. The cesspit you call the American economy is lies deceit and banking fraud.
