As a spa owner and a master aesthetician of over 35 years, red light helps with oxidative stress it also heals the skin extremely quickly! So when you say that, you don’t get a suntan when using it, it’s because any form of sun on the skin is damaged and this is actually helping to heal! I use it every day in my practice and on myself! A blanket is not enough! I would need a red light house with a red light toilet so I can keep my cheeks rejuvenated while taking my #2.

I use red light therapy for arthritis, which really helps. I also have a mask for rosacea, it has an added benefit of helping me get off to sleep really well.

I started with the little one that looks like a tv remote control. I actually bought it for my dog, who had IVDD, and it did help with his pain quite a bit. One day my mom came over, and she had bad arthritis pain in her hand. I set the control at the highest setting for twenty minutes and told her to hold it. She was super skeptical and didn’t want to do it. I told her to shut her mouth and just try it. 😂😂 After the twenty minutes was up, she said “Where can I get one of these?”. I have three devices now. I have a small panel that I use for my back pain. A few sessions with it and my pain goes away. I still have the remote control sized one that I’ve been using on painful spots for 6 or 7 years now. Just last week I bought a comb for hair loss. I use it while I watch TV. It also has a vibrate function that feels REALLY good on my scalp. Today, In the shower I checked, and there was hardly any hair in the drain. I’m a big believer in this therapy. Oh, I just remembered, I have one that wraps around my knees, but I hardly ever use that one because it has a bunch of wires and is really inconvenient to use.

As a fellow translucent person I have finally avoided sun burn by taking lycopene daily in the summer particularly. Can buy capsules but a tablespoon of tomato puree is equivalent. I take an extra dose if I think I've overdone it.

Some of those red light pads are ridiculously priced!!!  I got use a big LED panel that's on a stand and swivle neck that cost like $30.  When I sit in my chair to watch videos at night I turn it on.  It lights up my scalp, face, neck, chest, and arms.

One thing you have to be careful with is if you have hardware like a spinal fusion. Certain ones can heat up the hardware inside & possibly cause burns.
Another is if you have fibromyalgia you're going to need a pulsed light system.
I have both & have been doing research because my custom built one is very small but really helps a lot.
It's also a nogier system as well that uses certain frequencies.
It cost me $1300 but it really does help if you remember to use it often enough & give it time.
But if you're going to invest the money do research on what will help you the best.
Such as fibromyalgia needing the pulsed light systems otherwise it can be triggered to make things worse.
I still haven't decided on exactly what system I'll go for yet.

But the Google AI has helped make my research a lot easier when I explained what I'm looking for & what it's to treat.

Otherwise I'd have never known about fibromyalgia needing a pulsed light system, exactly what the settings mean in my current one & about the hardware being heated up.
My isues my current system helps with. Fibromyalgia, inflammation from auto immune, arthritis around my fusion, muscle cramps, period cramps, general muscle pain, neck causing almost an injury like thing in my shoulder-i need a fusion & more.
Because of the hardware I'll probably be getting one that's smaller then not using it over that spot & instead putting my current one on there instead.
Like I said I still need more research because my situation is complicated.
But whatever I buy it needs to have a good return option like at least 90 days so I can truly test if it helps out or if I need a different setup.
