Dara said she was extremely conscious of not falling into the ''girl bop'' trope with just fire and dancers around. One thing she insisted on was being different no matter the results.

The level of excitement and support for Eurovision in Romania this year was huge. The Eurovision final was the most watched thing on tv on saturday on the national television. Eurovision hasn't been this popular in romania for at least 10 years.

I can tell you Tom... we Danes are VERY happy with our 7th place! We're super proud of Søren and super excited for the future of DMGP. Søren have multiple times stated that he wanted to showcase that being in Eurovision is cool, so other artists won't be afraid to take part!

Why did Tom totally ignore that the finnish song from 73 was called Tom Tom Tom😂😂😂

Also, impressively: first song in Danish to make the top-10 since 1995!

As a Brit I have to say it’s actually impressive how quickly we forgot we came 2nd four years ago, especially considering we literally hosted as a result

I don't like Eclipse as a song but respect to Delta and the Aussies.

Sweden will learn the wrong lesson from this

I find it very appropriate that Finland finished sixth this year, because now under Lordi and Käärijä, our best results are 666🤘

Thank you for having that small psych up speech for us Finns because I've seen so much blame being thrown around from people calling the song bad, saying Pete can't sing, the staging being terrible, and Finnish language being a hindrance and I've been just sitting here trying to tell people to calm down and stop pretending like we came last.

What is really valuable about Eurovision is being "forced" to listen to music you wouldn't normally listen to. Especially if you're a engaging a little bit more than just the live shows, learning to appreciate bits about songs and genres you don't like is a wholesome experience. And to be honest, and important experience to. I think being able to appreciate art that is not for you is transferable into a generalised social skill, to see where other people's viewpoints about other - arguable more important - subjects are coming from.

I'm actually kind of happy that Monroes performance was so formulaic, because that was probably good for her mental health as a teen, to not have to bare her heart or get super emotionally attached.
Also, she's a trained opera singer, where every movement and note has its place, so she was navigating the stage in a way she knew perfectly and it also gave her structure and security.

The last time Poland got jury 12 points in the final was in 1994.

Thanks for the video Tom. Please take care and rest your voice 😅

Most Italians don't bother watching the contest. San Remo dwarfs it for interest. - Meanwhile millions in the UK watch it despite the embarrassing results.

I really liked Croatia! I was surprised it didn't do a bit better.

Some countries are continuously robbed by the jurries every year and kept on the right side of the table.

This is mostly visible for small countries, especially non-EU ones and Baltic states.

Hard to believe that 1st place and last place had the same person responsible for staging.

Monroe took the 14 points well, on instagram she explained how the Voting work and said she got 14 points and held a note for 14 seconds in honour of the 14 Points and she challenged Dara to do it so Good Luck Dara, Essyla also took 0 well and she saw the Funny side and Held a note for 0 seconds. Look mum No Computer left a comment of Monroes reel saying "my note will be easy" (or something along those lines) and the artists getting bad results seem to be taking them well

Thank you for another great season of Eurovision content, Tom! I can tell you gave everything once again. Now go enjoy your well deserved post eurovision break before the ESC Asia madness commences :D
