The Channel hit 1K subs this morning, and though it's hard to call it a "Channel" with only 1 video to it's name from the last year and a half, the past month has been unbelievable to me. A video I only expected to get 500 views max, received over 100 times that. The amount of encouraging and motivational comments I have gotten from everyone has been incredibly warming and relieving. I've always been unsure about putting myself out there at the risk of people not sharing my humour or just being cunts for no reason, but apart from a small minority, I have only been given the complete opposite. I almost didn't finish this video because I didn't think it was going to be worth the amount of effort I was putting into it. I now know that thinking that way is never helpful, and if you enjoy doing something, there will be people out there who will like the outcome. I am currently working on another moronic challenge (involving a lot of SOS hunts) that I'm almost done recording, and will be aiming to get that out towards the end of June/ Early July. It's another long one, but the editing process should be much smoother this time around. Following that, I am going to be attempting to beat the game without any UI or HUD elements, which I'm thinking about livestreaming and then compiling into another video. If any of that interests you, consider subscribing and keeping an eye out for that, but I will have more details within the SOS video. Last summer, with the Lagiacrus and Seregios title update, I was struck with the brilliant idea of trying to craft everything the game had to offer too! I am around 100 Hunter Symbol III's short to completing that task and am really proud of it. Hunter Rank 815, 780 hours in. But transcending everything...... what the ** that is insane. Huge respect for you

As someone who loves layered armor enough to craft every set in World. I can say that this is an absolutely insane idea and I respect the persistence required to grind for the materials required for this challenge.

26:16 Actually, this is a bit of fun trivia that I only know because I grew up in Japan. There's this bit of mythical lore in Japan, that every dragon has a single scale on it that grows the wrong way (topology nerds will recognize this as the Hairy Ball Theorem). This scale is extremely irritating to the dragon, and if you touch it, you'll hurt the dragon enough to send it into a rage. Seregios' dissenter is named after this in English, it's a scale that dissents from the established norm. But, in Japanese, all of the "plate" items are named afterr this "contrary scale" concept, and when they were translating the item names in MH1, they didn't think the dragon myth would carry over culturally, so they just called them "plates" instead, implying they were valued for being more durable than regular scales or shells.

Rise player here: it took me until three star village before I knew how to upgrade armor. I had thought it was like weapons: you made them and you're good to go. I had thought getting one shot was normal. Then I stumbled upon the blacksmith menu that let you upgrade armor. I have just started my first elder dragon hunts, and doing pretty well so far.

I’ve made everything too. The most grindy part was the tickets for the weapons.
