Just a small apology for the graphical glitches towards the end of the video - not sure why that's happened! I had so much fun going back through every series of Australian Gladiators. It's one of the very best international versions of the franchise and I highly recommend checking it out if you've never seen it before. Thanks for watching everyone. You're all awesome. :)

Fury is currently a personal trainer at my gym. She's super friendly and always welcoming.

This version of Gladiators is definitely memorable.

I find it so hard to believe that there were only 2 seasons of the original 90s series! The show is such a distinctive and ever-present childhood memory. For a 10 year old in the 90s, there was nobody cooler on the planet than Taipan.

All I remember it was enjoyable, challenger ready, gladiator ready, 3, 2, 1 hahaha

The biggest mistake I made as a viewer on the most recent revival was rewatching as much of the original run of the show as I could find.

When it came time to watch the first episode of the new series I was just bored. The pacing, atmosphere, editing, everything was majorly off and the show was lesser than its progenitor in every way. It wasn’t just 3 decades of evolution of television production, it was Gladiators only in name.

But at the end of the day the one silver lining of the reboot was it reminded me of the 90s era of the show and how much I enjoyed it the first time around.

We moved to Belfast from Australia in 1995 and remember watching repeats of season 3 of the UK series and the first International Gladiators while we were living over there.

We then moved back to Australia while The Ashes series was on here. So for the first couple of weeks I was watching Gladiators in Australia it was the weird situation of being more familiar with the UK Gladiators (and contestants - especially Eunice) than the Australian Gladiators.

I enjoyed Gladiators in the 90s. Never watched any of the newer series though.

I still have some of the magazines, as i remember joining the short lived fan club in mid 95, the topps cards, posters, a VHS video, there was even a Gladiators showbag at the EKKA and some gladiators appeared. I remember meeting Delta.

I met almost all the original gladiators at cons in Australia, all were so nice except Vulcan, he wasnt rude but just didnt want to interact with anyone. Not sure if it was just a bad day or something or he was playing his character (cons were fairly new back then). I had a huge crush on Delta and got a picture with her, my first celebrity picture (cuter and also shorter than i thought in person) but found Storm to be the nicest one to meet.

Back in primary school my class wasn't allowed to be involved in gymnastic type lessons for a while due to kids yelling out "GLADIATORS" whenever we did anything despite being told not to many times.

It was filmed in my hometown but never got to see it live unfortuntely

I remember “The Ashes” and being very puzzled as to why it was called that. I wasn't familiar with the cricket series.

Reminds me of a friend of mine hearing about the rugby series between England and Australia also being called “The Ashes” and being annoyed because “The Ashes is cricket”. I should tell him about this series of Gladiators and see what he thinks. 😉

Absolute pop nostalgia at its highest. I remember my friends, classmates and I were trying to be the Gladiators and attempting to do the events. Fun times.
