This game should be put into context. After the intense RGR , while some players even played against Argentina in Buenos Aires two weeks before the All Black tests, they then travel to America and then another long flight to Australia, you are forced to make a lot of changes and a good improving Australian side, it was always going to be very difficult. Yes, some players underperformed, but most of them were undercooked and needed more playing time to get better. The reality is the lack of playing together will cause issues and new combinations will always need time to settle.

Thanks. Great discussion

Everybody always talks up the Wallabies (usually after they beat the Boks) and then they get hammered by the All Blacks. Would love to see them win back the Bledisloe but I don't think it is going to happen.

@Hannes-c7u 2 days ago

The fact of the matter is, Rassie completely underestimated the Wallabies. He was arrogant and it flipped back in him. No other international coach would have made changes to this extent. Yes, a few changes to test certain players but not 13 changes, this is crazyness.

@Miiiiiiighty 1 day ago

Rassie shouldn't have put Eben on that match sheet considering he missed test 1 of the England test match of Nation Championships, and then played almost all the minutes of the 4 RGR ( with crazy intensity )...
Let the man rest if you want him to still be there in a year for RWC, and do it on top at his best level.

If you want the players to get their form, don’t drag them around the world as spectators, release them to their clubs and then recall them back for the match a few weeks before… there was enough time to get them back on form…maybe after the alignment camp, let them play home…if you don’t need them.

There’s a possibility the Boks play France twice in November, once in the group stages and again in the final. If it hasn’t already been the most arduous season in Bok history, it will most certainly end it….

@Tokengesture 2 days ago

Nick Mallet is very insightful…. And to say we can’t blame the players is ridiculous - it’s a collective responsibility and yes some haven’t played and it’s a team that hasn’t played together but some players were very poor and it’s fair to say that.

@Devaughn-e3c 2 days ago

Nick Mallett and the springbok supporters has a right to their opinion some of these players are not up to standard maybe
with time they will be but unfortunately we're running out of time the world cup is a year away so expecting players to put up their hands to make sure they on the plain when it comes around is not to much to ask might be bit unfair because they haven't played alot but they also haven't played because they not the best players so they get the minutes they can and that's all everyone can judge them on the minutes they've played.

@brentonhope5689 2 days ago

Yeah if they have such depth play the missing two matches during the RGR with Aus and Arg using their self vaunted depth.

@robertowilco7422 2 days ago

Jan ia very smart and knowlwdgeble top team youve created at megafoon rugby ty Mw

@PeterRichardson-z2p 2 days ago

Aussies are peaking now, and Kiss has shown his hand. Our big games are still to come with Ireland, France and England. And don't underestimate Bothwick.

@steinjonah660 2 days ago

The best that came from this is we now know who our best attacking players are. That last half (and some parts if the first half) reminded me of the record all black test and France last year. Esterhuisen and Moody are the best Attack combination in the team SFM let his hair down and combined brilliantly Now add Kolbe. Arendse and Willemse What a combination Take nothing away form De Allende and Kriel. They the best defensive combination Analise the tries. First Handre, Andre and Moody combined briliantly Some of the tries in second half were the best boks tries this year

@rumplestillskin01 2 days ago

playing different players preserve the life of the older players and deuces the chances of injury. 2027 we want our top players as fresh as possible and that prevents injuries.if they are fresh they will get form during the wc.i believe in Cassie and his coaching team.....3 peat is the big prize, after that the boys will have more than a decade to relax

@MisterKilogram 2 days ago

They lost to 11. Everyone should have been locked in. It was a gimme and they choked.
Rassie should have made wholesale changes during the halftime break.
He should choose a second lock on the bench.
Why is Canan Moodie there? He made his debut on 3 September 2022. Saturday was his 4th year as a Springbok and he hasn't been producing.

Viva Nick Mallet. Jan de Koning, unfair comment about Nick (one of the best & most honest opinions in rugby). Come on, be nice. Nobody is perfect. He has an opinion and says it honestly, and we love him for that. Great channel guys
