Welcome to the very first episode of Classic Golf Swing Makeover! In this premiere, I work with Scott—an everyday golfer who’s ready to unlock tour-level ball striking.

Watch as we dive into a series of transformational lessons that help Scott start compressing the ball like a pro, using the same timeless fundamentals that powered legends like Ben Hogan. We cover key concepts including:

✅ The Magical 4 Inches that separate elite players from amateurs
✅ Why going Over the Top (done the right way) might be the key to your swing
✅ How Scott’s ball striking transforms right before your eyes

This series is all about real golfers getting real results—by reconnecting with the Classic Golf Swing.

Scott's OTT move is more observable than the instructor's. I think I'm getting it now.

OTT. Never in a million years would I think this would work. Tried it on the range this morning and was striping it like your student in this video. Man, I feel that I should share my future Nassau winnings with you.

God bless

Resentment is a very powerful destructive emotion .

Probably the best student you’ve filmed in terms of being able to verbalise what he was feeling and how he was understanding the adjustments he was making. His improvement clearly impressed you as well. A good video.

The explanation the student talks about at 13:40 and on helped me realize it “over the top” of the backswing plane and NOT so much “over the top”’of the ball/target line.

Another win for OTT. Love to see it.

OK - this finally makes sense - where he’s talking about the face turning over and not actually coming over the top.
This particular video was very instructional and clear.

This is my first time seeing any of your videos. I'm trying to understand how this is not a big loop from the inside and not over the top.

That's Mike Malaskas over the top from the inside. lightbulb comes on

Very informative video, Christo. Your way of explaining and expressing what needs to happen and your body will feel truly makes all the difference. Great instruction and even better technique. Safe travels during the move.

Interesting concept, there are a few YouTube instructors teaching different concepts. I think it would be interesting to see how far these students are actually hitting it with a tracking monitor.
