A tribute to Stockholm!

Walking home an early summer morning after a fun night out is magic. From loud music in the dark to silence and light*. Random chirping following you home.

* I live in Sweden. Summertime it's never dark.

You understand that in Scandinavia there's hardly a night in summer,  because it's so far up north the days last forever,  and so does the partying! Mid-summer is a big celebration!

my fave ABBA song!

Love this song

One of my favorites. Magical

One of my favourite abba songs together with lay all your love on me.. I loved abba doing dance music

This might surprise you. ABBA were never completely happy with the way this song turned out. "Summer Night City" received more mixes to reach a final edit than any other song. Björn and Benny were struggling to compose new material for what would become the "Voulez-Vous" album. The group had not released a new single in a while, and this was the result. It fared well in the charts and is a fan favorite. The live version is amazing!

Simple, backbeat high-hat disco and a sick, funky base. It hits parties still today.

It's a totally banger!!!!!!! For many years it was my fav song of them.

They span music genres so easily while creating irresistible melodies and universal lyrics

loving your ABBA reactions!

I am also longing for "Super Trouper"'/"Knowing Me Knowing You"/'SOS"/"Fernando" and  still you got such a treasure left  to  be explored.

I see that AbbA has influence a lot of stars, like Olivia NewtonJohn, kiley Mignou etc

The base is fantastic

The nordic summer nights where it does not really get dark outside, and you don't want to hit the bed but just party 🤩🤩

great song. A tribute to their home town of Stocholm Sweden. all were born in Sweden except the red head who was born in Norway and brought to Sweden as a child. ABBA is an acrynim of their first names

Agnetha.... blonde singer
Bjorn.... man with no beard and lead guitarist
Benny... bearded man and piano player
Ani-Frid aka Frida .... red headed female singer

they were two married couples. Bjorn was married to Agnetha and Benny was married to Frida. The guys wrote all the songs and played many instruments and sang mainly backing vocals.. The girls both had fabulous voices  and took turns on lead vocals. Together they created what people call ABBAs third voice together they created what people called ABBAs third voice.

The original long intro is on the Thank You For The Music box set. Love this version.

This is one of my favorite ABBA songs, like in my top 5. Loved watching you enjoy it.

I remember quite a few Summer Nights dancing to this one...
