After the utter brutality that COD showed us in World at War, Infinity Ward is bringing us back to the Modern Warfare Cinematic Universe and dials up the action movie energy (and the controversy) with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

No Russian in the comments on this one...please?

Today we'll be looking at and counting EVERY war crime in Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered because...well because I own that one and didn't want to track down a used copy.

I'm at the Burger Town
I'm at the Taco To Go
I'm at the combination Burger Town and Taco To Go.

The amount of times they got Keith David to say Burger Town will never cease to make me chuckle.

A couple war crimes you forgot. Using an ambulance as a military transport, and soap feigning surrender

One of my favorite no Russian details to this day is the fact of how Allen was the only one without gloves, ensuring the only finger prints identifyable on any of the firearms we used would have American DNA all over them

“In true American fashion, we have a firefight through the hallways of a school”

That is cold! 😂

Can I just point out how much of a fucking GOAT Nikolai is? Like everytime Price or Soap need something he just jumps up like 'Yeah I got it, be right there.' Even after Shepard's death he says 'They'll be looking for US now.' He's ride or die, in it for the long haul.

I enjoyed the totally unrelated Starship Troops footage playing over Gen. Shepard's speech.

it will never be funny to me that after Terminal in "No Russian" mission, Makarov's group starts giving callouts exclusively in Russian

@foolishsparky 5 months ago

I feel like retroactively, every single war-crime in the game should be given to General Shepherd.

@leedude92 5 months ago

I think no Russian could also be classed as a false flag operation as makarov used a undercover American to frame the US

"Counting every grain of sand in the desert" ahh series

I really like Makarov's voice - it being a bit nasal is rather unusual for a villain meant to be intimidating. It's a neat choice that makes him stand out a bit more in a genre full of "dangerous military guy" villains.

Sorry, Allen should be nothing more than a bag of viscera after taking THREE DIRECT RPG HITS IN THE SPAN OF JUST HIS FIRST MISSION.

Technically, cardiac sensors do exist however they’re not as cool and fancy as the game. They detect the heart beat of people who are trapped and collapse buildings other terrible scenarios. These cardiac sensors are usually used by first responders.

1:03:07 The rain in fact would not be radioactive, since the nuke was detonated in the exosphere (technically space) and wasn't a ground burst, there's no dirt being sucked up into the atmosphere creating that black radioactive rain. So you'd get the emp effect but no fallout or really any destruction directly from the nuke due to how high altitude it was. The ISS would also not be destroyed as we see in the game as shockwaves travel through air which space is lacking of, it would also be affected by the emp though as well as the pocket of radiation now floating in space. So it wouldn't be destroyed in such a disintegrating fashion but it certainly makes for an epic setpiece.

I think you missed a potential war crime. Cliffhanger, Maj. Petrov states he is going to execute Soap if you do not surrender and he does if you don’t trigger the C4. There is argument that Petrov could legally execute Soap as a spy/saboteur, but I find that to be incorrect as Soap (and Roach) are clearly in their uniforms and their nationality marked, making them legal combatants thus protecting them from execution.

I might be wrong, but if a building is being used for hostile action, it loses its protected status

@lingliang8450 4 months ago

In hindsight, the Russian's using Allen as a casus belli is the least ridiculous thing about the story. Allen was a CIA agent shooting up a Russian airport at the nd of the day

@neilhannan7525 5 months ago

Remember Kids it's not a war crime if you win

@David9413 5 months ago

The solemn, serious tone declaring "only for a Russian to appear from the sky and breeky their cheekies" is a good reminder why you always do the edutainment reminder in the start of these.
