The creature coming out of the toilet on The Ghoulies VHS cover sold me back in the day! Great choices!

I describe Elvira's Haunted Hills as "Bugs Bunny in the House of Usher." 10/10/ fricheks

I watched “Snatchers” a couple weeks ago and it was a blast. It’s not top shelf horror and doesn’t take itself too seriously, which I like. A strength of the film is how the main character Sarah chooses to rely on her former bestie Hayley. Their tension leads to humor which is a thread throughout and balances the darker parts of the story. A big thumbs up from me!

"Let's Scare Jessica to Death" was one of the most terrifying films I've ever seen.
I saw it as a child in the 1970's, but unlike many other movies that scared me as a young kid...but underwhelmed me as an adult...this movie STILL manages to creep me out!
It was a very sparce, low budget movie, but that sparceness was what created such a lovely and horrific vibe.
The background mood music consisted of a few piano keys here and there, played upon a piano that was slightly out of tune...some whispering voices...and low whining wind sounds.
I scare myself just thinking about it!

Thanks for the shoutout Daniel, I really appreciate it! The Cobwebs Channel is so much fun, and you have that special knack for finding hidden gems that most never seen before. Adding a few films here to my watch list. I do remember the trailer for SATURDAY THE 14th at the drive-in, and the Creech rising from the bathtub!

Love seeing Saturday The 14th mentioned

Film fact — Terry Gilliam (from Monty Python,) did the opening cutout animation scene for Cry of the Banshee.

I love how all the actors in Ghoulies wear sun glasses, because it was supposed to be an indication to the audience to put on their 3D glasses. Once Charles Band and co learned how much it would cost to film in 3D they cut the idea but left the glasses in the movie.

Just got done watching Amityville 2. It was absolutely insane, and I adore how the film wasted absolutely no time! 10/10 for sure!

15:19 The thing I learned recently, the actual Matthew Hopkins was in his mid twenties when he died. So he was doing these terrible things when in his early twenties 😱

I wish I had a parent like you that raised me thoughtfully introducing horror from a young age ❤ My parents did their best but I wasn't even allowed to read Goosebumps and I was scared of everything til I was 15. I feel like if you start early a kid can actually be less scared of horror, if they feel like it's fun and normal and see their parents aren't scared, and they can decide as they get older if they like horror and discover more intense things.

Memory unlocked seeing Saturday the 14th on here. I would have been 9 when that came out.

Amityville 2 is actually based on a book about the Defeo family called Murder in Amityville by Hans Holzer. Yes definitely a prequel.

Paula Prentiss and Richard Benjamin were married in real life. She was awesome in The Stepford Wives.
And I've never heard of Snatchers either. I'm definitely checking it out.
