This is my bike, picked up now. If anyone has any doubts about the level of service or quality of build, let me tell you, don’t! Fantastic experience from start to finish and the attention to detail is second to none. Bike is faultless and brilliant to ride!

The old fashioned idea with changing crank length was to leave the saddle in the same position. It looks like Pantani did that when he went to 180 in the mountains from 170. He had a very pointy toe with the long cranks.

Wilier seems to be a positive addition for you. Do you have any thoughts regarding the Gran Turismo SL vs the Look 765 assuming both will fit properly? I like the 27.2 seatpost of the Look over the more proprietary parts on the Wilier.

There is only one answer for wheels right now and that is farsports s5 evo. as for the groupset, congrats, next year it will be refreshed and it will loose even more value. It should have been a force e1 around 1500-1600. But ok the ultegra functions well

Just to understand, should the spoke tension simply be in Newtons rather than Newton-meters?

For a 2000$ 45mm full carbon wheel shouldnt it be lighter? Closer to 1200gms? Now a days 50mm carbon wheels with steel spokes are closer to 1300gms

Also for a non power meter build, with dura ace pedals, bartape, bottlecages and mount etc wouldnt it be 7.7-7.9kgs?

Hi, sorry this isn't on topic but Ould appreciate your advice re tyres, I am still old school with rim brakes and have Campag shamal C17 wheels , what would be optimum size for training/fast(ish)/comfort balance . Hope to move to disc bike plus wider rims one day budget allowing .........

I've never heard of this Laka outfit. Just did a quote for my 3 bikes, with a total value of 14k. 82 quid a month or almost a grand a year. Where the hell do they get that from. My 40k car costs me 350 per year to insure. These bike insurance companies are absolute fraudsters and are taking cyclists for idiots, and is the reason I won't use them.

many of these Italian cycling names have become nothing more than a warehouse for imported Taiwanese frames. Then dressed up in a fancy paintwork. Spend you money once and get a lovely Sarto which is hand made in italy for a little extra.
