Reminder: Dursleys gave Harry a tissue, a coin and a toothpick over the years, which is a nice subtle resemblance to the Invisibility Clock, the Resurection Stone, and the Elder Wand.

Don't go shorter, go slower, longer episodes. We love it

One day, a quiz master on Patreon is going to ask "What's Florean Fortescue teaching Harry about in PoA?" And the guys are going to lose it when they find out the answer is actually Witch burnings and not Goblin rebellions. It's going to be great 😂

11:31 “do you think we can keep it to a reasonable length?” Me who saw the timestamp: “absolutely not and I’m here for every moment of it!”

I've always imagined that a few days before Christmas an owl arrives at 4 privit drive from Dumbledore with a note stating this owl is for Harry's Christmas present and will not go away until something is given to it forcing them to package something up.

Sunday, fine day Sunday. Do you know why it's such a fine day?
Because the Carlin Brothers upload
Right you are Harry

At least Krum has a good time here compared to Bill and Fleurs wedding where he is like "What is the point of being famous quidditch player if you can't get any girls?" 😂

"what would Ron's reaction be to Hermione going with Krum if he was going with Fleur" goes both ways. What would Hermione's reaction be to Ron going with Fleur? The mutual jealousy would be off the charts.

I've literally commented a bunch of times that Harry's "Er"s are a setup for the Sphinx. FINALLY the boys catch up xD

They say that Elf made socks can even protect your feet from Lego.

Sorry if I'm repeating anyone else's comment. Mince pies used to be (back in the 16th/17th century) meat pies with dried fruit added for extra sweetness. Over years, the amount of meat decreased and the dried fruits (and apple) increased. Now, many recipes are vegetarian, but the more traditional ones still use suet (animal fat from around the kidneys).

Basic recipe is to put chopped apple, dried fruit, candied peal and suet in a low oven until the suet has melted and covers all the fruit. Cool, add brandy and put in sterilized jars, as with jam. It can last years. Making it 4 to 6 months before Christmas gives the best flavour.

One of the best parts of this series is being able to see the guys realize things in real time. I never noticed the er significance either.

“You walked past the bathroom to get to me!” is so so real 😂

I still think Harry missed on a friendship move in not buying Ron a new dress robes for Christmas.

2:11:58 ??? That's a new record 🎉 thank you! The longer the better! ❤

I don't think I'm alone in saying that the longer your podcasts are, the more enjoyment we get from your content. I'm the only person at my job who works on Monday and listening to Through the Griffin Door while working alone is one of my favorite parts of my week. Thank you for your dedication and love of the Wizarding World!

I think you all are overlooking the power of makeup. I sat for a glamor shoot with makeup and hair done for me, and I looked totally different from what I usually do. There were different tops I wore, too, including off the shoulder with a shimmery, translucent shawl; a jeans jacket with collar jauntily-pulled-up; a wrap with a plunging neckline, and a few others. I do not look like any of them in real life.

I can see Hermione in her floaty periwinkle dress and done up hair changing her look completely. And makeup makes a big change, too.

Pretty sure the reason Dumbledore mentions the bathroom that he found (aka the room of requirement) and then winks is because he's trying to give Harry a clue ABOUT THE EGG!
