I do think a large part of Girl Math is general irony/humor as well as the mentality of “what’s the point of saving for a future that is not guaranteed.” Whenever I pay for anything in cash, that’s not real money because the banks don’t know about that.

Imma tell my mom my C- minus is basically an A because I got ‘boy grades’ So basically it’s free grades

I don’t have a gambling problem I have a math problem.

Boy math is getting quoted $1200 for a repair, buying a tool for $200 to "do it yourself", fucking it up, returning the used tool, then paying $1800 because now they have to fix the thing you fucked up too.

Due to inflation, girl dinner is now a piece of celery, and thinking about water

The radio show hosts are actually so much funnier than the TikTokers

"Boy math" is gamers buying Armoured Core before even finishing Bouldur's Gate, having upgraded their computer to be able to run them at specs they dont understand, still looking ahead to picking up Starfield, and having 200+ games in their Steam library they never installed after buying them in Summer Sales.

They'll get through them eventually, it's just an investment.

(note, just like girl math and men, boy math is absolutely also done by women)

As someone in gen z, my dislike of large corporations has nothing to do with the fact that I’m gaslighting myself into thinking spending 600 at the Lego store is fine

I lost it when the "Girl math" talkshow had a "Girl math" expert. Like they have the two hosts that talk to the guests and they have their "specialist" explain in girl math why it's free, hilarious
Edit: NO SHOT they have MULTIPLE "girl math" specialists

you gotta respect swift, theres no other fanbase that would spend $3k extra just for the secret surprise song at every concert, insane

"I'm using this 8 dollars I randomly found in my pocket so its basically like im not paying" is definitely my most common rationalization for unnecessary snacks when I'm high

He's all in on doge, she does girl math
Can I make it any more obvious🎵

The “guy gambling math” thing is too true.

Like even if a guy loses or goes even (I’m guilty to doing this) we’ll say “well we just had two hours of fun at the blackjack table, so I didn’t even really lose.” Or the other classic “yeah tonight I’m down, but lifetime I’m still basically even” and my absolute favourite, it’s a very niche one “if you’re playing blackjack but not betting on lucky-lucky you’re just loosing out money at that point,“

It doesn’t matter that I paid 1,000 dollars on poker if they gave me 4 free drinks. It evens out. if ANYTHING they made ME money

if all of us atrioc viewers just start throwing bracelets at cashiers and running away, eventually people will just accept it as currency shes onto something here

The energy/labor cost of a house not changing is true(in fact it probably goes down) but is missing how much the average person gets paid for their energy/labor. And when you look at the difference between those two it starts to be clear why people seem to be able to afford less and less.

1:07 Someone in chat just said “EVERYONE DOES THIS, I DO THIS WITH DRUGS

girl math is when i don't scan things for customers in the checkout line :)

Programmer's Math: If something is O(1), it's basically free.

I cannot believe Atrioc discovered the Marxist labor theory of value today. So happy for him. The next chapter looks bright.
