Auf wiedersehen pet is the best drama series ever. I have been watching the hapless brickies from series 1 episode 1 in dusseldorf(Germany). Watched the series then watched it again and again. I applaud the scriptwriters

The writers grew this seedling from the germ of a very unconventional idea (brickies as guest workers in Germany, rebuilding the country that their air force had turned to rubble years earlier) and tended it to become what's called a franchise. Sort of reminds me of the FnF franchise that started out with the slimmest reed of an idea for a movie.

I thought they ruined a great show with this series. The first two series, especially the first, were just perfect in every way. The third was okay-ish but this one was just farce.
No hate, just expressing my honest opinion.
