Wow! What an absolutely great 15 minutes of television.
I was 14 when this aired and I guess I took it for granted that we would always be entertained and educated like this. Sadly, the last 30 years or so have been very disappointing in that regard.

Love ❤️ the last painting 🖼  very valuable to me 😊

vincent price, peter cushing and christopher lee.....3 all time icons who weren't just brilliantly warm and funny - but all round superb human beings - the kind of people whose depth and integrity are things sadly missing today

8:40 A PRE Greatest American Hero ?

When I was a LOT younger than I am now (I am 74 now), I had a chance to meet Vincent Price who was touring the United States with his lecture "Villains Still Pursue Me".  He was charming and very approachable and after his lecture, we had a luncheon with him, and I timidly went up to the dais and asked if I could have an autograph and maybe a picture (because I knew that opportunities like this come along very seldom in one's life.
Not only did I get a picture with him, but for several minutes he chatted with me like we were old friends, putting me immediately at ease.
It has been said the one should never meet their heroes, because the experience could be disappointing.  He couldn't have been nicer.

Theater of Blood scared the daylights out of me.  I never forgot the scene where he force feeds one of critics a stew that he made out of his dog and serves him his dog's heads on a platter.  The critic dies from asphyxiation from choking on his dog's flesh. That was so sick and disgusting.

As a kid i got love his acting, as a adult i can appreciate his work.. vincent was a class act and one of a kind!! A true gentleman of the macabre

@5:45 "He and his wife put out," - i have to imagine carson knew vincent divorced mary grant price the year before this interview.

I’m still wondering if I’ll ever catch the episode of Vincent Price cooking fish in a dishwasher. He was the first one to do it. Often duplicated.

It’s too bad this episode shown here cuts off before Bert Convy comes on. When Bert arrived on the panel, Vincent Price quickly called him stupid. I felt bad for Bert. Vincent Price had that way about him. I would be interested in seeing the comments from others regarding that exchange. It’s too bad it wasn’t included here.

Vincent Price had a great sense of humor I don't know why he didn't play in some comedy movies kind of like Leslie Neilson did.

I loved how Vincent Price never took himself too seriously. He loved acting in horror films, laughed along with others about them, but to my knowledge , never denigrated them.

My brother had the pleasure of being Price’s escort when he lectured at his college in the early 70s. Says he was the most delightful man, witty, charming, friendly as could be. His favorite movie was “Pit and the Pendulum”.

Green deep shag carpet - aaah the 70's.

The Following Program, is Brought, To You, In Living Color,On NBC,Proud as A Peacock

I like Vincent Price.  He was a good actor.  I didn't like him in so many macabre movies but some of them and related movies that were a little less macabre were quite good.  I saw Theatre of Blood I believe when I was a teen or just before that and I Was Ready to PASS OUT!!!  Brother, the way they did it was pretty incredible!

One of my favorite Price movies is Diary of a Madman.

Great actor, poet chef, highly intelligent and calm respectful of others. Genius bless you Vincentl
