Watching Jackass without any context is a perfect premise!

amazing reaction. The other jackasses are actually very chill, funny, and relaxing

"this is just guys doing stuff" might be the most perfect description of the history of jackass, welcome friend.

This might be one of the most stress filled reactions I've seen to a jackass movie lol bless you, ma'am

They don't have guardian angels, they have dare devils.

"Is butterbean ok?" 😂😂😂

17:08 Jackass started with Knoxville shooting himself point blank with a live round wearing an armored vest, this segment is back to basics

For what it's worth, Blair Witch Project was all actors, it was just acted in a documentary style. Jackass, on the other hand, does feature authentic reactions from regular people, like Borat (another movie you should watch if you haven't seen it before).

Your speech about the bullet proof vest at around @17:50 is exactly the train of thought that led Knoxville down the Jackass route. He wanted to write articles about his experiences doing stuff but no one picked them up so Jackass was born out of that idea.

Oh poor Maggie so innocent in the beginning trying to make sense of it - going in completely unaware here is an amazing thing to see. Yes it is indeed very aptly named. And we see now an epidemic of such behavior for social media clout not even because of this. My parents thought THIS was bad. Damn how the turn tables have...

@17:45 Johnny Knoxville actually did shoot himself in the chest with the cheapest bulletproof vest he could get for a magazine called Big Brother and the article I believe is called The Art of Self Defense which took place before Jackass. There's a documentary of Big Brother on Hulu that has a clip of Knoxville doing it

The golf air-horn gag always gets me.

The Jackass movies, and the crew as a whole, give testament to what the human body can withstand as punishment. Seeing what they survive makes all the folk tall-tales within reason.

The cameraman gagged, which made the other cameraman gag, which decades later made you gag 😂😂😂

3:43 "yeah, but that's just paperwork..." 😂😂😂

How did this happen on TV? Dear lady, we went to see this movie with the entire class during 'introduction camp' for high school in the Netherlands. Good entertainment for a bunch of 11-12 year olds I would say. Then again our geography teacher was an actual G and he introduced us to a beautiful movie called Kill Bill....

"This is a special kind of stupid" = Yay! You figured out the plot! 🤣

24:24 Oddly shaped men is still my favorite sketch in jackass

Fatality, we have killed her with our jackassedness.

"So that's what the number was"
Actually no. Johnny Knoxville is from the South, where the number 3 is legendary. It's because of a NASCAR driver who passed away tragically named Dale Earnhardt. He always repped the number 3 on his cars, so it's a common Southern tradition to paint a 3 on your car when you're about to send it.
