Mike, the driving instructor, is the unsung hero of the film. He accepted the kisses as not to offend his culture, explained to Borat what consent was, instructed him not to drink and drive, told him not to hit the children, and accepted being called his boyfriend. Mike, wherever he is, I hope he is living his best life.

People didn't know that Borat wasn't a real person at the time. Plenty was unscripted.

“You will never get this, you will never get this lalalalala”

"Is this a cat in a hat?" "No it's a tortoise in a shell." One of my favorite lines ever😂

I clicked so fast I almost time warped. Y'all are keeping me sane lately, your channel is the one I'm constantly waiting for new content b/c you're hitting it out of the park with these selections!!!!!!

I'm from NYC and a chicken on the subway would probably be the least worrying thing you would see in a given day.

0:22 "yours caught up" IS CRAZYY 😭

The mansion where Borat learned 'fine dining' is in my city, and the gentleman with the really good white hair was my wife's pastor and did our wedding ceremony. When this came out he was so embarrassed but wouldn't talk about it as the lawsuit with the studio was still ongoing. They had absolutely NO idea what was going on.

Pam Anderson was fully in on the plot. Kid Rock, her husband at the time, was not aware til a screening they attended. He was furious and they actually divorced shortly after.

The only thing that upset the Jewish couple with the bed and breakfast was that they were worried that people would think they actually had pests in the house. They're so sweet.

Pointing at a tortoise and asking “Is this a cat in a hat?” is one of the funniest things of all time

I’m from Jackson, MS and yes, the Channel 16 news broadcast was real. He was sued by many people due to the interactions in this movie.
Pam was in on it, obviously. But the remaining 90% were not.

Doing Bruno too? You're definitely not ready for that one 🤣🤣

Believe it or not, the sequel is even crazier

fun fact: sacha baron cohen is the most sued actor ever, and hes never lost a case

24:34 This is a prime example of why Sasha Baron Cohen is such an incredible improv actor.

The village that played his hometown was, in fact, a Romanian village that had no idea what they were into. They were really mad at the time when the movie came out. Same for Kazakhstan, with official statements, and all

We watched this movie in high school. Everyone was laughing at loud. Even our teacher. Good times. Schools were a blast in the 2000s.

Hopefully Cody incorporates "MY WIFE" into his intros now 😂

He started doing a character called Ali G that became so popular in the UK that he couldn't fool anyone after a few seasons.  He resorted to a fake talk show where celebrities would pretend to be talking to Ali G.

The character didn't connect w well with Americans, but his side character Borat was seem as sympathetic and fitted American stereotypes about eastern Europe.  So they decided to prank the whole of America.

Most people agreed to take a tiny bit of money for appearing in the movie when they saw the full title.  The assumed that it would be a tiny government documentary shown in a faraway country.
