Thank you so much June's Journey for sponsoring this video!!

LET'S GET COZY!!!
This week I had an itch that only a book nook and a little guy could scratch.... That sounds not-quite-right but I DON'T CARE. Many of you are aware of "Over the Garden Wall" being my entire personality, so I wanted to try a second attempt at making a book nook! With lighting this time so it's not a massive black void.
So yes. Grab some potatoes & molasses and get cozy!
Love you most ardently!!

Remember that the stuff that you're most passionate about is automatically going to be the most interesting to watch, so make whatever you feel like making, we're all hear for it.

For me personally I don't watch a specific video or not bc of the content I watch every video bc of Rachel, you are the reason your videos are entertaining not what you produce :)

@isabelm2483 11 months ago

Girl don't burn yourself out just to pump out content fast. I think we all would love to see your creations while your are having fun doing them rather than rushing them to the finish line and stressing till you K.O yourself too. We love what you make so I dont think waiting would be so bad if it means you will be there in the long run. Eat and sleep well too!

I would not at all be surprised if most people watching are primarily watching your personality and presentation instead of the projects. They are always just peachy, as long as we get you taking us on a lovely, relaxing and whimsical journey through the process.

Everytime Rachel makes a little guy, her maternal instincts just want to help him grow up big and strong, so he ends up too big for his enclosure. 😂

Unsung note for Rachels channel: I really enjoy the sketchbooks she uses for her Design Phase. They are always simply pretty.

I'm blown away that the first book nook was five years ago. I was so impressed with the first one, but you have grown as an artist so much!

I think most of us just enjoy your sense of humor and watching you create something. You don't need to torture yourself by constantly sewing. I'll watch you do thrift flips, make miniatures, DIY holiday decor, make a little guy, paint a mural, a foam stone wall, clean a closet...IDGAF. You do you.

I know it’s hard to believe, considering how we perceive ourselves. But you are in fact, doing an amazing job as a creator and everything you do on your channel. My daughter and I absolutely adore you. She is 11 and it’s one of the things that we do together is watch your channel. And you give us so much inspiration to have little projects to do together. I hope you see this. And it inspires you and helps you and helps. You know that you are doing superb. And now because of watching this project together, I am off to the craft store to get oven dry clay. Because now my kid wants to make a giant pumpkin head figure for her room.😊

What feels like half of Rachel's videos: "I wanted to do something easier this week"
proceeds to put more effort into a book nook than any project I've ever done in my entire life.

I absolutely LOVE cozy, crafty videos like this. I use them to body-double. Currently in the final hours of constructing 2 anime cosplay costumes for my boys. First time using EVA foam and styling wigs, and I keep thinking, "All my years of watching Rachel have led to this moment!" ✂️

Rachel: I'm not a sculptor.
Also Rachel: I just created a perfect replica of a scene from Over the Garden Wall in miniature that fits inside an impossibly narrow book nook.

Watching you make things you enjoy, whether it's sewing, painting, sculpting—whatever—is my favourite thing about your channel.

Hey Rachel!! I have to be honest with you...thank you for showing us the mess that you leave behind because we all have our own mess and it is nice to see that we're not the only one who causes chaos in our wake. I and I'm sure many others would love to see a clean up video. As a neurodivergent /neurospicy person, I often need a body double when it comes to cleaning. Watching you clean your beautiful house would bring me nothing but joy as I clean along with you! ❤. I know the algorithm would tell you that you need to have exciting and spicy content, but honestly a deep clean and an overhaul of tidying up would make so many of our neurodivergent brains so happy! 😂😊 Much love❤

There was a British show from 1999 called The 1900 House where they took a regular family and made them live in in a historically accurate house decked out with food, clothing, and technology that was only available at the time. It was phenomenal. And the confessionals where literally just like your opening shot. 😆

Your hair is like autumn leaves, your smile like a summers day

After Maksyween is over, I vote for more little guys. Rachel needs more happiness.

@TheLoudlyHappy 11 months ago

I love your quiet moments like this 15:23 so id be down for a whole video of just painting or clay sculpting etc like that

@mayflower9705 11 months ago

Yes more little guys pls. Would 100% watch you do anything tbh. I'm here more for the lovely, whimsical, inspiring, warm Rachel and whatever it is she wants to do.
