Some horror movies scare you with ghosts, killers, curses, and haunted places… but the real horror is that they were lying to you the whole time.

In this video, we look at horror movies that completely change their meaning by the end, including Moloch, Marionette, The Abandoned, Identity, Backtrack, and You’ll Never Find Me. These films make you believe one story, then reveal a darker truth hiding underneath everything.

Marionette is just a story of a child making ocs with a soul crushing story and making his self insert in it so he can cope with reality

I never felt more represented

Some trivia about silent house, it was filmed with one camera so there is no break during the recording

I love Identity! Interesting fact is that the structure is inspired by Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None. Such a clever twist on it!

The judges would have also accepted Session 9, Stay, A Tale of Two Sisters, The Last Broadcast, The Others, and of course The Sixth Sense.

Case 39 is a perfect example of a movie lying to it's audience

The Others with Nicole Kidman is another good one.

A recent film that does this is Strange Darling. It does a great job with leading in one direction only to flip things around completely.

I remember watching Identity... it was insane...

Way more going on in Marionette. Manny is definitely the one to pay attention to while the duo are speaking. Matter of fact, anyone she speaks with.

I'm torn between watching this vid and watching the movies because the twists are so good

I love Backtrack ❤ it had the twist and turns I wanted. I was let down by You'll Never Find Me tho. That's not to say it's a bad movie I just hated that we went in thinking "he's the psycho!" And then led to believe something else only for the twist to be he's the psycho:p

Kinda funny how you can hear the plot of one movie in two videos, but because the focus is just a little different, you don't necessarily realize it's the same movie till the end.

R Point is another good one. Especially leaving the twist in your face the entire time.

I have to ask if many really did have powers, or if this was all in his head. Just a morbid story in his head to help him deal with grief

Cody Leach love the dude but this is the pace his videos on this subject should be

A side note but whoever that Paris person in Identity is, she'd make a great Claire Redfield. Definitely has the look and the jacket. On the other hand she probably looks much different today.
