Ashley original vs remake (re 4) comparison mechanical and physical. The Resident Evil 4 remake improved many of Ashley's mechanics compared to the original game. While some systems were reworked to suit modern standards, the majority of Ashley's mechanics were also enhanced.

I like that in the original if you aim right next to Ashley , she slides right behind you .

I've played the main story twice and never figured out that the bar doesn't fill up if Leon stays near Ashley when she's being taken. Shows that even after 50+ hours in this game, there are things I still don't know lol.

1:35 For those who don't know, Ashley in the remake retains her arm-waving celebration animation, just like in the original.
8:18 I don't know when this part of the video was recorded, but nowadays that isn't possible.
If you throw a grenade at Ashley, she dies instantly.
When the game first came out, it was exactly as shown here, but they almost certainly changed that in later updates, because now she dies if you throw a grenade at her.
9:10 Even accidentally shooting her kills her instantly—though I should clarify one point here: she doesn't just recover once Leon has killed all the enemies; if you hang around for a bit, she’ll get up on her own, so it isn't actually necessary to kill them all.
