This guy is a prime example of excellent parenting. Just do things with your kids! Learn em how to figure stuff out by showing them how you figure stuff out. Absolute legend Derek!

Seeing Bentley start to mimic your comedy without being prompted is the most wholesome thing ever.

Made me laugh out loud when Bentley asked “is that the parking brake or somethin” talking about that chunk of firewood. Gotta love it Derek. It’s so cool seeing him out there with you in almost every video. I can’t imagine the stories he’ll be able to tell his kids and grand kids about old dad

..probably one of the only guys who can produce a 2 hour video and everyone watches the entire thing. The go-cart thing at the end was perfecto!

Derek, I love how you’re teaching your youngest to work on cars. He will remember these moments for the rest of his life. Much love from the Netherlands

“… hold on to the fuel tank!” 😂😂😂 best line a dad ever said to his son! You guys are most awesome! Love the show!

Any Corvair owner knows a few things:  the carbs are a bear to keep in sync, the engine drips oil, you always have a spare belt in the trunk, and Clark’s Corvair Parts is a savior. Former 65 convertible owner.

A random Corvair story:  In the late '60's I was helping a farmer friend on his Minneapolis-Moline Uni-Harvester (farm implement).  It had a bad generator which was made of unavailable unobtanium because it turned backwards (counterclockwise).  Fortunately I knew that Corvair generators also turned backwards and were easy to find and cheap.  Quick bolt-on fix!

More content, already? A feller is blessed. Your videos help a man stay sane in the frosty eternal darkness of northern Sweden. Love and appreciate both you and the little one's content and effort. Thank you very much for all that you do. It matters so very much, and teaches more.

As a Corvair owner and a fan of VGG I have been waiting for this moment for a long time! Derek is the man!

My first car was a 65 Corvair my dad and I started building when I was 13. Took about 3 Corvairs to make 1 and lots of trips to the junkyard. This brought back good memories, my dad is gone now but I still remember trying to get that car running for when I got my license.

His sons is so blessed to be able to grow up with a dad like that. Hes going to have so much knowledge and be able to fix anything.

Derek - thanks for the new revival - you are an incredibly hard worker and it’s great to see VGG getting the kudos it deserves. It’s a great pleasure and honor to be a small part of the VGG family.. Cheers Chris

How can one channel be so damn consistent for so many years? This is absolutely perfect!

Father/son time = Priceless 💪🏽🇺🇸

Bentley genuinely seems like he loves working on those cars with you.  Looks like he'll be following in your footsteps.  Great video and thank you for all the great content.  Happy 2023!!

I gotta say... these videos with your littlest human you're responsible for are just priceless. He will have these to look back on for a lifetime. For a lotta fellers like me, it's the memory banks of me and my Dad. Tought me to siphon leaded gas by mouth when I was six, change a tire at eight, and helped me rebuild my 1970 Mustang at 15. I still have the car.. and the memories, but not Dad. I lost him a while ago... But the memories are all so priceless. Take care friend.

Bentley’s first car is going to be epic! We need more dad’s like Derek.

It's so admirable how he prioritizes family time, what a guy

"Littlest human you are responsible for" gets me every time....This is one reason I enjoy your channel, the phrases and words you come up with are top notch...waiting for the Vice Grip Garage dictionary to come out LOL.
