Thank you so much for watching my video Flats! Genuinely such an honor!

Her mains are Peni, Luna, Invis, Cloak and Jagger, Jeff. Ok that makes sense for a peaceful single player person like hersel- THE THING

At least it wasn't league

I remember watching this around when it came out on my fyp. Genuinely made me tear up towards the end. A lot of love exudes from this video and it’s absolutely Fantastic

This video is very good cause it shows the more casual gameplay understanding of the genre. I think with Flats he comes from hero shooter background so some things come second nature. The video shows that not everyone has the same institutional knowledge on this genre

Yeah this is how I lost my girlfriend of 3 years, we are still together but trust me she’s gone.

I will say almost all the reasons Spiderman is hated in Rivals is the reason he's loved in other media.

The rat is part of an Iron Man emote.

If thats an addiction I dont want to know what type of cancer I have

42:31 Okay chat is pissing me off here saying Venom breaks that rule

VENOM IS HELLA GOOFY, HE’S A BORDERLINE COMEDY CHARACTER HALF THE TIME 😭

I get this, I used to play more solo player, slow games like Cities skylines 1+2, stardew and satisfactory. My friends got me into rivals season one and I had never played this type of game before, I gravitated towards invis, luna and mag. Now I solo que qp most days playing ranked minimally as my friends moved on in S2. However my skills have improved exponentially, Ive peaked C2 with an enormous hero pool with my current favourites being rogue, psylocke, invis and luna and being able to play al large part of the cast with the exception of almost all dive. I genuinely never thought I would like this type of game and also introduces me to marvel which I wasnt too interested in before. Ive come to really love this game and play almost every day

9:56 I forgot who said it, but one streamer/creator pointed out how every CnD main goes on to play Invis (maybe Gambit) as their other support, Peni and Emma as their Tanks, and SW and SQ as their DPS lol. As a CnD main I kinda have to agree on this one haha, although, at least for me, for DPS I went with Storm and Namor, as I feel like those are the heroes with a kit that can help the backline the most. As for the other roles Im slowly branching out to Dino, and for Supports I've already been enjoying White Fox and Jubes.

I CHEERED WHEN FLATS SAID THAT IF YOU QUESTION THING YOU DON'T KNOW BALL !!!! MY GOAT IS PEAK RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH YOU AMAZING FLATS LMAO

As a wife that started playing video games because of my husband and now I’m obsessed with Rivals (2000+hrs), this video always makes me cry, especially the end!❤

40:00 even a lot of overwatch OGs got into because the cinematic, i know a lot of people who only ever gave it a shot because of the cinematics (typically the Genji/Hanzo one or Bastion one which are 2 of the best, go figure) hell i was only really casually playing until i saw the Rein cinematic and fell in love with his character and still one trick him to this day.

See while Flats has a very good gameplay understanding/hes not a casual in that sense, he IS a casual when it comes to Marvel stuff. The reason this game is special to me is because of the Marvel stuff. When they lock in and do the Marvel stuff well, the whole game is better for it. Whether it’s deep cuts, obscure characters, moves that feel like they’re from other games these characters were in, or paying homage to the DECADES of Marvel stories, the gameplay might be fun, but that’s what makes it special to me as a massive Marvel fan.

It is funny seeing this cause my own wife plays a lot of marvel rivals. I was a big gamer and she was too but just not really shooters. I came from overwatch and moved to Marvel Rivals with my friend in season 0. She joined us as her very first hero shooter.

Now today she plays more than I do. Almost any day that she gets on her computer after work it's to play Rivals. She plays ranked and I just never touch the mode personally. I started to fall off the game over the seasons but she keeps trucking on even when she gets a slew of awful matches.

39:54 woo D2 mentioned

I think it comes down to Marvel Rivals being easier to rank up in, not anything wrong with that but I think like when she said "its fun having people think you're good at something"

If you're a grandmaster player, you aren't just a MASTER of the game you're a GRAND MASTER thats way cooler, and makes it sound like you're really good at the game, when in reality compared to most other games, its somewhere in Platinum/Gold

There is nothing wrong with liking Marvel Rivals and theres nothing wrong with feeling like your rank is really impressive OBVIOUSLY, I think this has more of an impact psychologically than one would initially think

I really love the low skill ceiling character topic, because Rivals was my first ever hero shooter, not first shooter but still. I started with characters like Jeff, Invis, Scarlet witch, and Squirrel girl, and after a couple seasons I got better. Now i’m a top 1000-500 Angela, Magik, Invis, and Emma main, if it werent for the ease of access rivals had I would have never fallen in love with the game, unlike overwatch and apex etc which i tried and never liked.
