THE PRINCESS BRIDE IS SUCH A FUN FAMILY MOVIE!!! The Princess Bride Movie Reaction! Get ready for some serious laughs as my daughter Lorie watches the iconic "The Princess Bride" for the very first time! While I hadn't seen it in ages (and honestly, only bits and pieces before!), watching it again with fresh eyes through Lorie's reactions was an absolute blast. We were cracking up from start to finish! Join us as we react to all the hilarious and heartwarming moments, from Westley's (Cary Elwes - known for Robin Hood: Men in Tights, Saw) declarations of "As you wish," to Inigo Montoya's (Mandy Patinkin - known for Homeland, Criminal Minds) relentless pursuit of "Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die." We couldn't get enough of Fezzik's (André the Giant - known for professional wrestling, Conan the Destroyer) gentle giant wisdom, Princess Buttercup's (Robin Wright - known for House of Cards, Forrest Gump) timeless beauty, and the unforgettable Vizzini (Wallace Shawn - known for My Dinner with Andre, Clueless) with his constant pronouncements of "Inconceivable!" Even Prince Humperdinck (Chris Sarandon - known for Fright Night, The Nightmare Before Christmas) and Count Rugen (Christopher Guest - known for This Is Spinal Tap, Best in Show) bring their own brand of villainy to the comedic mix. This movie is pure gold, and our uncontrollable laughter is proof! You won't want to miss our genuine, side-splitting reactions.

Fun fact: The dread pirate Roberts ship was called The Revenge so Inigo taking over as Roberts from Westley would mean he's still in the revenge business.

The grandfather is played by Peter falk. He's known for playing the character known as Columbo from the hit tv show called Columbo. And at the end of the movie, when he's done reading and gets up and he's checking his pockets, it is a callback to the Columbo tv show. Because Columbo used to do that all the time on the show where he's checking his pockets to find something because he forgets which pocket he put it in, lol.

Honestly, the look that Buttercup gives Wesley when they are in the Fire Swamp discussing the foliage is one of the funniest silent takes in cinema

Fezzik was played by Andre the Giant, a very famous professional wrestler at the time, and according to everyone who ever worked with him, one of the kindest men that ever lived.

Favorite behind the scene tidbit is that Wallace Shawn (Fazini)is terrified of heights and during the cliffs of insanity scene they sat on bicycle seats attached to forklift and after one or two tries of Shawn freaking out after being lifted two inches, Andre(fezzik) patted Shawn on the head and said” it’s all right boss, ill take care of you, its all right boss…” and they were able to continue( was in special features on dvd/bluray

Sharing The Princess Bride with the next generation? Now that’s great parenting! Pass it down. 😉

"The sword shouldn't bend like that"

The sword should absolutely bend like that. They are made to be springy and to absorb impact without breaking.

@DarkPaladin24 1 year ago

Easily one of the best quotable movies ever. The fight between Westley and Inigo has got to be one of the best sword fights.

Just to let you know: Indigo's sword, a rapier, is designed to flex that much. All rapiers are designed this way...or should be made this way. Thank you for all your brilliant videos.

Andre the Giant, who played Fezzik, once said that filming this movie was the happiest time of his life because everyone treated him like a fellow actor, unlike the rest of his life where he was treated as a freak.

The wedding scene aka MAWAGE! was exactly how my brother and sister in law got married in that particular manner as I’m sure that thousands perhaps millions of other couples decided to do. Cary Elwes, Robin Wright, Andre The Giant, Fred Savage, Chris Sarandon, Billy Crystal, and Wallace Shawn really shine and deliver throughout the movie. If you want to see another great performance from Robin, you have to watch Forrest Gump (1994) starring Tom Hanks, Sally Field, Gary Sinise, and a really young Haley Joel Osment prior to The Sixth Sense (1999).

32:00 in “As you Wish” the making of book it is revealed that they tried to shoot this scene several times but it looked too fake so Cary told Christopher to just hit him already so Cary falling was real from accidentally being knocked unconscious

My lines i love to use, "Have fun storming the castle!" Billy Crystal. Or "Life is Pain. Anyone who says differently is selling something."

Darth Vader: “You are free to use whatever methods necessary, but I want them alive. NO disintegrations.”

Boba Fett: “As you wish.”

Darth Vader: “WHAT DID YOU SAY TO ME?!”

Note even a minute in:
I think it's having a resurgence because they were trying to make a re-make of it, but THANKFULLY it was shot down.

What a wonderful treat for your husband to be able to have a recording of your reaction to his favorite movie!
Maybe now you'll watch it with him because you'll know that it's awesome!

During filming there were really only 2 injuries one from Cary Elwes(Wesley) when the 6 fingered man hits his head in the woods he actually did knock him out and the other was from Mandy Patinkin(Inigo) in miracle Max's the only 2 people on set besides the camera man were Billy Crystal and Mandy Patinkin because no one could stop their laughter and Mandy bruised his ribs holding his laughter in
