I almost drowned 6 times before I was 6 years old…
I survived abuse and kidnapping
I survived 4 RPG’s in Iraq that defied physics
I was woken in the middle of the night by “something” only to immediately see a sniper’s tracer round fly over my face
I was less than 10 feet from a roadside bomb in an un-armored Humvee

I searched to find out the God that saved me…it was Jesus. Every Word Had to be True because of what I went through.

Yes the Bible is True. I met the Author before I even read the book…THEN I read it, studied it, learned just How True Every Single Word is.

Then I asked God to reveal His Hand in my life…that’s when He sat me down in my mind like a theatre and showed me what He did up till that point.

😅❤️🙏Yes…The Bible…Is True! He is Truth! HE IS THE WAY! He Gives Life! No one gets to go to His House to play without knowing the Son. Know the Son…Welcomed In…Don’t know the Son…die in Your Sin…

The big selling point for me many years ago was the fact that the 12 Apostles all knew that spreading this "Gospel"  was going to cost their lives. They just didn't care at all. They were going to make sure they told this amazing story, no matter what. Then, generations of disciples made the same decision.

My dad is 75 years old, when he was 18 he went to Vietnam. If he were to write a memoir of his time in Vietnam now it would be over 50 years later. Yet still a firsthand eyewitness account. People that so quickly discredit the Gospels written 10, 20, 30 years after Jesus’s death and resurrection do not understand.

God is the one who gives you eyes to see and ears to hear what the spirit is saying to the churches. ✝️🕊🔥

Who’s the most influential person in all of the world’s history? Jesus Christ is.
Nearly all religions reference Him and respect Him. The whole world has been impacted by Jesus Christ in some meaningful way.
“Religion” says do do do, Jesus says DONE. ✅
God humbling Himself to become a man and dying for all of humanity is a unique, beautiful and powerful message of grace. -John 3:16 AMEN 🙏🏾

Don't forget that none of the Gospels mention the destruction of the Temple that happened in AD 70. Which kinda tells you something about when they were written. The Temple was destroyed exactly how Jesus described it: no stone left unturned. Jerusalem itself was even renamed.

Tens of millions of Muslims have had dreams and visions of Jesus in the last 100 or so years. That reconciles it all quite well for me.

I agree with the apologist. If someone approaches the question of the Bible and the validity of Christ, it's healthy to approach with scepticism and seek the answers with curiosity rather than approached with cynicism. Scepticism leaves room to learn. Cynicism, however, never opens the door.

His mission was to commission witnesses, not readers. Matthew 28:19-20  "go and make disciples," not "go and distribute this scroll." Point out this is how the ancient world normally worked. Socrates never wrote anything either; we know him through Plato and Xenophon, and no one treats that as disqualifying.

I don’t have enough faith to be an atheist.

Listening to you gave me the strongest push to open my drawer and pull out my Bible before I go to sleep. Thank you!

And He's alive forevermore

The guy asking the question looked so angry. I pray he got the answer that will keep him reading the Bible.

The claim that people would believe anything back them is imbecilic because the Bible itself records that MOST people did not believe, and often includes the REASONS they did not believe, which proves they were just as capable as we are of skepticism.

Here is a piece of logic for ya: Differences do not equal contradictions!!!  :)  There ARE differences in the gospel accounts, but they are NOT contradictions and can be harmonized in various ways. IN FACT, if it were true that these accounts were all exactly the same, then this guy would be making the accusation of collusion. The differences PROVE that the accounts are from different people and are not a product of a conspiracy to get their story straight.

Here's an example I like to help understand why discrepancies between accounts aren't always what they seem. There were 3 people who all experienced the same event and each later highlighted what stood out to them. The first told about how he heroically squared up against other mighty warriors in battle and his part in the triumphal victory over his foes. The second spoke about how hectic it was to organize the logistics of running a busy shop and keeping things running smoothly. Finally another told of an incident when one careless motorist backed into a parked car setting off an alarm that blared for minutes before the owner was able to be located.

Now it may be hard to tell what the event is from these disparate description or even how they could be related. Until you find out the event was a football game and the warrior was a linebacker on one of the teams, the second was the manager of the concessions stand and the last was an off duty cop hired to be part of the security detail and he was assigned to supervise the parking lot while keeping the peace among the rowdy fans. Each experienced the exact same event from 3 entirely different points of view with their own focus and biases that led them each to give entirely different accounts that at a glance seem unrelated or potentially even contradictory out of context, but together gave a much more rich understanding of that night in question than any one of them could have provided on their own.

Love this timeline explanation! Something that has hit me is that NOWHERE in the New Testament writings is the 70 AD destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple. Yet THAT is an undisputed historical fact. I had a long chat with GPT (quite fascinating!) which led to understanding that other than Revelation, the Gospel and Epistles of John, and possibly Peter's, that all other writings were strongly likely to have been pre-70 AD.

Abdul Murray is an amazing apologist and brings such clarity… thank you for bringing this!

I have been told to write about my beautiful marriage.  My wife has been dead twenty three years now, yet I remember our first date some thirty five years ago.  Time has provided me perspective and appreciation for the life we had.  Of course I believe that an eyewitness could write their experiences decades later.
