Would be great if you can mount the PAC motor to the gear tracks instead of using the mounting straps. Most kayaks now these days come with front & rear gear tracks.
I have one of the original pac motor mounted in the front of a 12 foot by 36 width 120 pound kayak and it runs well up river. Very pleased with my pac motor. My son owns on two. Highly recommend it.
Looks like a good start, 2 questions. 1. Are the motors that loud per this video or more specifically what's the dB rating and compared to a traditional trolling motor? 2. Are you R&D'ing a GPS navigation chip brain so that it can spot lock/ virtual anchor? Your product is great to see on the market for kayak and SUP's, this is a void niche that desperately wants to be filled as customer end users are desiring something more simple and elegant and less clunky than a traditional trolling motor. Kudos!
That is awesome. I might would try strapping it in right in front of the seat under my legs and that might solve the angle problem (not sure how much that would interfere with paddling though). Or extend it straight and paddle with it on full blast! The possibilities are endless😂
