Today in Kabul, Afghanistan, we’re doing something wild – buying an entire sheep at the local livestock market and taking it to be halal butchered. From there, we’re bringing all the meat to a Madrasa (Islamic school), where children spend their days studying the Quran. But this isn’t just about food – we’re taking the kids out for a picnic by the pool, cooking up the sheep, and sharing an unforgettable meal together.
Along the way, you’ll see the chaos of Kabul’s sheep market, the reality of halal slaughter, life inside an Afghan madrasa, and the joy of kids experiencing a rare day out. From negotiations over “BBL sheep” to traditional Afghan cooking, swimming pools packed with locals, and the unique hospitality of Afghanistan – this video has it all.
This is my last video from Afghanistan, and I couldn’t think of a better way to end this chapter than by giving back and sharing unforgettable moments with the next generation.
