I live quite close to you near Baguley Tesco and i use all these bus routes regularly and i am glad to have such a reliable bus/tram network close by.
Not sure how the majority afford to drive nowadays, i was never interested in getting a licence but instead paid off my 25 year mortgage in 18 years.

Hello Matt, your videos are uplifting and help me clear my mind. Thank you, please keep up the good work!

I’m in awe to some extent of people who just pop out for a 10 mile run.  My brother does it and I sit there thinking where is 10 miles if I drove there.  Makes me a little sick and they do it for fun.  In awe but never inspired! 😂

20:00 I feel like this is the first time I've heard someone else say this. Especially the part at 20:27 - I resonate quite strongly with this.
I'd say it's what's happened for me with this channel. YouTube suggested to me your recent videos yesterday; I gave it a go; and was left thinking something along the lines of, "Wow, this guy speaks truth." You just end up drawn to what you like - no need for command. I'm grateful that you've taken the time to share your perspectives.

You're packing those undies 😮😂😂

All these electric vehicles really struggle in the winter  when we’ve got heaters going, lights on… Give me a proper diesel any day!😂

I drive these exact type of buses in Glasgow and our general rule is that we contact the depot as soon as they reach 20% battery which is when the alarm starts and it says on the dash charging required soon. Once it reaches that stage the bus has to be swapped if the bus is due to stay out on the road for more than one terminal point

Another great video Matt, 4 hours 50 minutes sounds like a long stint at the wheel 😮

Matt Haslam, fittest bus driver in england  :)

👍👌

Loving the Christmas hat Matt
Also on Christmas eve buses normally finish earlier in afternoon so you'll get good time with your family

Also can I ask how long did it take for your driving licence to get back From  DVLA as mine still hasn't come back from the post.

I work in fast food burger king
Hate the managers and the job lol

Thanks for inspiring me for being a bus driver top man 👍🙂

Edit: also where I live in York we have first buses and there fleet is fully electric and see them getting towed back to the depot cos I don't think they get put on charge for the morning runout.

It's good to see bee network don't have dead ev buses every week like us in York ha

Can’t stand those BYD deckers, our heating on them just blow cold air and in the Scottish highlands that’s no use 🤣

Hi Matt,

I see you’re fully committed to Christmas before we’ve even hit December with the hat  🤣. No idea what’s happened this year — everyone’s got trees up, lights blazing, and it’s still November. Mind you, the supermarkets will have Easter eggs out on the 3rd of January anyway, so nothing surprises me anymore 🤣🤣.

You’re flying again with the running and the vlogs 👏👏👏 absolutely no complaints from this end👍

Now… that bus. I know it’s part of the "driving environment” but that shuddering of the panels and windows when you hit a pot hole or road bump… mate, I swear I could feel it through the screen. You probably don’t even notice it anymore, but it would do my head in 😂.

Honestly though, you should be proud of the content you’re putting out. But you’re too modest and too decent to say it, which is why I’ll say it for you and I bet on behalf of many others who subscribe

Being a country lad, I can’t get over how many People are  in town , it's bloody chocca fascinating to watch, but not for me. Maybe once or twice a year with the boys… max.

And the EV anxiety had me smiling . When that battery starts dipping my mates act like they’re flying a plane low on fuel over the Atlantic. EV's , Great idea (certainly not green though) shame the UK national grid is held together with hope and sticky tape and doesn't even belong to us 🤣🤣 Classic 😂.

Top vlog mate.
Gary 🙏

Loving the videos! Think I saw you going past on the 101 yesterday near Wythenshawe park. I waved 😂

Another great video, well done matt

17

there is a limit on ebikes of 15mph unassisted the police try an clamp down on them but its hard because of how manoeuvrable they are how quick they are and how dangerous it is to chase some one on one so most of the time they just ignore them even tho nearly every single one is breaking the highway code one way or another

Ras clart man

I don't know if this will help you: I had a friend whose taxi company switched to Teslas. They tend to run down to 10 to 20% before charging them. So I guess your depot meant somewhere in that range. I guess if it goes into limp mode due to lack of charge, get a new bus.

i am working towards my driving licences and i want to become a bus driver it looks fun
