They put me in the collage, can see me at the bottom holding my old vinyl at 3:33. Could not believe that shit when I opened the CD a cpl years ago. Ultimate honor.
J.R.'s vocals on this album, and with PD in general, are so emotional. It's what keeps me coming back to this album, because it fits the lyrics so well. He doesn't sound angry, he sounds afraid, beguiled, and obsessed, with or without the lyric sheets.
This album sounds like someone filled with rage and mental anguish to the point of an emotional breakdown, and just incoherently powering all of that build up out of them. The lyrics are amazingly written yet nonsensical at times, but it doesn’t matter as their delivery hits you with the full force of the emotion. Scott Hull’s bullish riffs only make the delivery more impactful. This album makes me feel a way that no other does, and I hope anyone else here can relate.
Dude, I've been wanting to see more videos about this album. It's such a beautifully messed up piece of art. I've heard that this is also Jr's favourite album they've ever made, which makes sense.
I’ll never forget buying this CD at the mall when it came out and going to my friends house. He put it on his moms stereo and turned the volume up all the way because the intro is so quiet and then that scream happened and scared the fuck out of us
I remember picking up terrifier (sp) from Best buy, that was back when you'd just buy a CD because the art was cool. Or at least I did on occasion. Anyway, great album and it'll be on play list tonight. Pig destroyer and Human League, a concert that'll never happen.
Orchid are such a great band that 7” is a favourite of mine ! Saw pig destroyer tour the terrifyer album along with total fucking destruction and halo ! It was a great gig and met the band and they sighned my og terrifier double lp !!! Smoked some bud with jr and im going to see them for a second time at a one day fest along with wormrot and eyehategod!!! I can’t wait !
