Don’t forget the game has multiple mistranslations errors. The whole thing of saying Sonic being tortured among other things, is actually translation errors, probably due to apparently the script was made in Japanese first and badly translated into English.

Did you know that this game only 3 level designers, no I’m not kidding. It’s literally in the credits.

The lead actually worked on Sonic Lost World

But the other two never had any experience with 3D Sonic games prior to this

for a 90's Sonic fan, this game could have been Sega's take on Sonic SatAM's plot... and it was crushingly disappointing.

Not to mention the avatar idea was cool, but it was severely limited with the options you're given, you were much better off playing on PC and using mods... having the avatar look more closely like your own character or even Princess Sally or something.

Sonic Forces really shows how little Sega/SonicTeam cares about the cast of Sonic games. In a world where Sonic has failed and he's been captured and tortured for months, you're telling me NONE of them could lock in enough to keep the world safe from Eggman or save Sonic? Not Tails, Knuckles, Amy, none of them?? It has to be left to some non-canon OC and a younger/alternate dimension version of Sonic, while everyone else just pops in for occasional tips?
