What feels like a suitable punishment considering the offence?

A fair punishment if found guilty? Corrupting English football since 2009 would demand a proportionate punishment:

1) Relegated five divisions to the National League North.
2) Five year transfer ban, forcing them to develop youth players and sign free transfers.
3) Disqualification of any and all directors shown to have been involved in offences.
4) One billion pound compensation fund created to compensate other clubs.
5) Complete eradication and annulment of ALL trophies won since 2007.
6) Strict ban on ever publicly displaying, promoting or referring to trophies won in this period.
7) All records of City honours replaced with asterisks in the period and no official winners.
8) Official public apology from Man City owner, and Chief Executive.
9) Two year ban for any manager, staff or players who knowingly accepted illegal payments.
10) Compulsory sale of club if ownership proven to be complicit in offences.

I think city should be dissolved or whatever the equivalent would be for a football team, the level of cheating is incredible and the damage it must have caused to other clubs is unmeasurable

I'm appalled by the whole thing,  throw the book at them and ban the owners from being involved in football for life

Yes its unfair on City fans, but what about the fans of every club that were denied moments of glory because of City? Is that just as unfair, if not proportionally more, because its impacted more people? If you're going to make the argument about which fans this is unfair on, yes City are feeling it now, but we've all gone through it for much longer than they have. So I really don't feel bad for them at all.

Relegation is not enough - expulsion from the Premier League with no return for a minimum of five years and all those involved in the deception banned from Football for life. They also needs to be an investigation into Man City’s recent dealings, as it appears that they are in denial and have not learned anything

Hi Harry a brilliant show mate,I have been surprised why the City fans are in denial mode, and why they are not raging and furious with the owners of the club and why we are not seeing protests at the Eitead.

The biggest charges City face now are the failure to allow investigations to happen smoothly. Those 35 charges make them guilty already. And because they tried to hide things away make them even more guilty. But those 35 will absolutely burn them in court.

You are right throughout your analysis, Harry. All clubs have suffered as a result. The punishment has to be relegations, points reductions but definitely also stripping City of every single title and cup won from the date they started cheating. I personally think the titles should be reallocated to cup finalists or teams second in the premiership.

Harry, your analysis always on point and professional, great job sir.

Good to see u back H

Pep is literally still employed by the city group right now as an advisor and still involved.

Been waiting for this can’t lie 💯💯💯

Great Podcast on a very difficult issue.

Harry there were 14 charges relating to managers and players wages. If proven. .i believe some agents players and managers would have known. The ownership, mangers paid by outside companies and senior officers at city should be banned from football.

As a Liverpool fan you’re right I’m really pissed, klopp era could’ve had a way bigger legacy. My hero Steven gerrard could’ve had his PL trophy. But I don’t want the titles. Strip, void it and throw the book at city… hard. Also arteta got humiliated worldwide, called a bottler when he deserved the title. My sincere apologies for mocking him. Mourinho, Ole… all these guys got robbed.
Last but not least, pep knew… he’s a very smart man. He saw the storm coming.

Harry, good to have you back. Great show.

Preach ‘Arry!!!!!

Fantastic Video Harry!!! I totally agree with everything you said. It is a total disgrace they have brought our beautiful game into dispute, cheated and lied. PL have to get a firm hand on this for me Man City have to be expelled from the league and start in the National Football League, a Huge Fine, All titles removed, Transfer Ban and owner will have to sell up because they have showed they aren’t fit to run a football club in this country.

A light sentence will encourage further cheating. If they are not appropriately punished fans and teams need to think about boycotting Manchester Guilty matches. That would make the league look even worse. You said it well in regards to Wenger and Arteta. Must be held in higher regard.
