Have you ever tried to overwinter petunias, supertunias or superbells? How did you do it? Were you successful? Or will you be trying it for the first time this year?

You have the best video on this subject. Thanks!

That vase of snapdragons is stunning. I'm honestly not a fan of snapdragons in the landscape. However, I think they make one of the prettiest cut flowers.

I Overwinter petunias in a hanging pot in my unheated greenhouse. I actually didn't know it would work. The plant started growing and then I took a bunch of cuttings. I was excited and amazed. I have already started lots of petunia cuttings and most have rooted. I should be able to keep most alive this Winter. It does feel like winning a prize.

Oh my gosh, can I just say how much I love the fact that you are a real person and not some goofy ai pretending to be a real person?!! I am absolutely sick to death of watching all of these pretend grandpa and grandma "gardening secrets" shows, that you really have to do a double take when you watch them to realize that they are not real people!! Anyways, I am absolutely hooked on your videos and love the concept of saving money any way I can while enjoying beautiful flowers. Unfortunately, I live in a zone 3 so it makes it rather challenging to try & do the overwintering, but I am going to try!

Thanks for inspiring me to take some supertunia cuttings. If I could get ~5 good cuttings going in one 5” pot I figure I’d be doing well. I’m in Easton (next to Franconia) NH.  I love seeing all you do in your NH yard

Next year! We hit 36 in central Idaho.😢 Sigh ...😁 thank you, Vita.

Trying for the first time this year! I have been using and loving supertunias for the past 4 or 5 yrs. Hopefully I can save some money next year by overwintering 😊 I'm in zone 5B too.

Thank you Vita. 🌺💚🙃

Thank you so much!!!

Another informative video Vita! Unfortunately I've already pulled out all my petunias due to the heat wave we had in August. I find it easier to grow my petunias from seed.

I overwintered my supertunias, superbells and superbena in the heated greenhouse (40-45F). I found superbena has the best survival rate among those three. I will try cuttings this winter as well.

Good afternoon Sis, well Kendra is driving back to VT. Home again the end of October. Finished planting my garlic, spreading some blood meal then mulch and good till spring.

I haven't tried overwintering petunias.  While it sounds like a good idea, I don't have the space to do it.  I wish I had the space. It would be fun to try.

Hi Vita.  This video is very timely, as I've been trying to decide which plants I'll be over wintering this year.  My list is getting long, but I'm limited to space. I've collected seeds from a couple different varieties of my petunias, but I was thinking about trying to over winter a couple varieties too.

I’m going to try to overwinter the mother plant and take some cuttings of my supertunias… I have three kinds. I also wanted to try again with my fuschia this winter… they didn’t make it last year. I watched your video last year on overwintering fuchsia and think I saw follow up that it survived, but I didn’t really see it in your videos. But I didn’t start watching all your videos until later. Thanks, Vita! Best, Anjali

I would like to overwinter my petunias in my garage but all of mine are in the ground. Would it be wise to dig them up maybe a week or two before (so they can get over the shock) then cut them back for storage?
