Mocking Flat Earthers With Jeranism (Former Flat Earther)

Professor Dave Explains

You've seen me debunk flat earthers many times before, but here's a twist! Watch me do it with one of the flat earthers I used to debunk! Jeran Campanella, formerly of the Globebusters, saw the light in Antarctica and is no longer a flat earther. Now he gears his content towards debunking flat earth and other similar conspiracy theories, which is a good thing. Watch us mock your favorite flat earth buffoons together!

If you see this Jeran just know it takes a lot of god damn courage to openly admit you were wrong. It's genuinely touching to see. Hats off to you sir 🫡.

Huge f*cking respect to Jeran for getting over his own ego and being able to admit that he was wrong.

A sign of intelligence is admitting you're wrong.

Jeran seeing evidence, altering his beliefs and then communicating that is the most science thing ever. Please be welcoming to this man. It's important. Maybe we should throw him some follows?

“Flat earth is embarrassingly wrong. It’s tragically wrong.”
Well said Jaren.

Psychology
“You feel dumb,” exactly at the time your mind is expanding. Jeran is not alone here. Most of us feel dumb about past mistakes rather than smart because we overcame them.

Wow, this was a joy to watch. Jeran, I know there is zero chance you would remember, but I left some pretty nasty and condescending comments on some of your FE videos through the years. I truly believed you were just grifting so my comments were intentionally of a non-constructive nature. I gotta apologize for that, because you’ve demonstrated that you are able to take in new information and amend your position, which in the current world is an enormous breath of fresh air. 🍻

Jeran doing this huge pivot is honestly so incredible, and as someone who crawled their way out of a pit of my own, I gotta give him props. Crawling away from conspiracy theories like flerf requires *actively rewiring your own brain* and that's no easy feat. If you'll forgive me for being a bit vulnerable, I had an actual, honest to God psychotic breakdown over this stuff before I came to terms with every conspiracy theory and theological nonsense ideas I grew up with being flat out lies.

From the laying in the valley of ignorance to climbing the mountain of understanding :P

EDIT: I should clarify that I wasn't a flerf, I was raised to believe in more insidious things

Jeran basically lost all his friends and people he thought had his back just from one trip. That must suck bad. Props to him

Jeran. I know you are reading these comments. You have done a complete 180. I love it. I was sitting here smiling while listening to you talk. I'm so happy for you.

Jeran literally brought back by the light. Much respect. A very hard road to take back. There is hope.

Jeran keeps impressing me with his candor and honesty. I'm glad that he agreed to talk with you, Dave.

Jeran was making a living from being a flat earther on YouTube and now he’s worrying because he can’t make money from it anymore. I honestly think he should pivot into being a flat earth debunker and go through all of his old flat earth videos debunking himself. He absolutely has a way to make money on YouTube if he does it correctly. Respect to Jeran. Gave up his way of making money for truth. What a guy.

This guy is the perfect example of the Dunning-Kruger effect. When uneducated, he was highly confident in his ideology, but almost immediately after he began learning, he thought he was an idiot.
