I despise gambling and I despise celebrities endorsing them, for example Chris rock in the UK

I'd appreciate it if links they mentioned being added to the full stream were also added to the relevant clips.

I’m of the opinion both gambling and pharmaceutical ads need to be outlawed. Treat them like the smoking industry and remove their influence from the general public.

Victor Wembanyama’s statement against promoting any sports betting is very significant, especially since the NBA itself is sponsored by DraftKings and FanDuel.

Alternatively, tennis legend Pete Sampras was featured in an ad for Kalshi during the 2026 US Open. It was his first major public appearance in a very long time, and tennis fans were left confused and disappointed by his choice of partnership.

The cool down settings to lock you out for X amount of time is a legal thing that sprots books have to do in the states and the time requirements very state by state. So that cool down time was not a good guy DraftKings thing it was a the state mandated you do this or you loss your license to operate.

Would be nice if you guys could add the links to these articles when they're a core piece of the clip.

I'd never gamble, but I'd imagine if I were suddenly up 16k, I'd cash out immediately.

Gambling incentives, VIP etc should easily be illegal

One interesting bit of info regarding lotto like power ball or the aforementioned Canadian 649. Your chances of winning big regardless of how many tickets you buy are basically 0. However if you don't purchase any tickets your chances are literally 0. If you want to have some fun, only buy 1, buying more genuinely doesn't give you a meaningfully better chance and is actually a waste.

Going off what Jake was saying about time limits, there's this software called "SHIFT" that uses supervised-device management (MDM for iOS) to essentially trick your phone into thinking it's a corporate owned and controlled device.

So you set restrictions from a desktop and can't bypass anything or delete "SHIFT" from your phone. Think it's $150 for lifetime and it's the only thing I've seen (yet) that works that way

Shout out to LTT for covering this topic that is growing into an epidemic as I know this is outside what this channel normally covers, which is tech. I can't watch sports anymore without being bombarded by this crap.

This is definitely something that is hooking kids at younger ages which is what scares me the most. Kind of like Robinhood back in 2020, it is becoming really easy for them to get you started and once you do, it's over!

Gambling should be treated as an experience. Only spend what you want or can lose then that’s it. You don’t get extra at a concert when it is over. The money is just gone.

Same with Pokemon cards. You’ll spend considerably more breaking packs trying to pull a card you want than you would if you just…buy the card you want. Just buy singles.
