Locked On Lions

4,998 views

Detroit Lions face offensive accountability as Dan Campbell demands more firepower. Can Jared Goff and Amon-Ra St. Brown spark a scoring surge to cover for a struggling defense? Special guest Mike Tirico of NBC Sports offers sharp insights on the team’s identity crisis and the Lions’ bold expectations for greatness—35 points per game or bust.

Key topics include the Lions’ woes in man coverage, the impact of injuries to Brian Branch and Kerby Joseph, and whether secondary shakeups or a coaching change can fix the leaks. The discussion explores the value of trade targets like Zyon McCollum, possible additions at running back, and whether defensive improvements can arrive before the playoff window narrows. Don’t miss this fast-paced, insider look at Detroit’s path forward as they prepare to face the Arizona Cardinals and reassess their season ambitions. #firstlisten

I respect his answer

Don’t like it. But respect it

@joshwright9290 9 hours ago

I love Dan but every time he deflects from this horrendous defensive coaching he loses my respect. Be honest with the fans. If Dan can’t see that this scheme is unacceptable, then he is part of the problem and we may need to move on

I love MCDC, but I think his expectations are a bit unrealistic. If they could find a balance between offense and defense things would be much better. But to expect to score 30 points or more a game is giving the defense a bit of a pass.

Best interview of 2026! Love Mike!!!!!

When is Mays back at Center???

@WheresBillie104 8 hours ago

MCDC ain’t fooling anyone. He can’t say his D sucks but he knows that he has a better chance getting more out of the O than the D

@Cynthia-DL 7 hours ago

Why wouldn't he feel short???? It seems he was angry about the game play today. I am glad he was fired up! The most I have seen him.

35+?!? better call Dan Coryell and have Goff grow a beard like Dan Fouts.

@beez991 7 hours ago

Everyone given Resd a hard time, I don't. He is trying his best. I blame the guy who thought it would be a good idea to put Reed on an island alone, no help with a guy who is 6'5 when he's 5'9. That's asking a lot.

THE OFFENSE IS SOMETHING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT! If you can't see that this team is meant to be a front running team that plays with a lead, then I don't know what to tell you.The fact that we've only score 10 points in a combined 4 1st quarters, is not something we should be overlooking. Obviously the defense needs to be better, but this offense is not the explosive offense it once was and we need to figure out how to get that identity back too.

@Cynthia-DL 7 hours ago

I appreciate Mr. Tirico's discretion during the game. I didnt appreciate Mr. Collinsworth at all. Usually, those two are great together; but imho Mr. Collinsworth was rude...and I'm not the only one who feels this way.

DC knows where the problems are but he can't publicly single out the defence in interviews. That can divide a locker room. Win as a team, lose as a team. What he says behind the scenes away from the media will be different from the face he'll show in public.

@glmunir 4 hours ago

Because he knows we can’t count on the D keeping anyone under 30 points the rest of the way.

@i2308Matt 8 hours ago

The safety’s are supposed to help the CBs and they have don’t none of that

@i2308Matt 9 hours ago

Throw early and get a good groove going then start running it down there throats. Keep your defense off the field

@glmunir 4 hours ago

32nd out of 32 isn’t average.

@WolfshadeMNO 6 hours ago

This is waving the white flag of surrender. And it might be the only real option at this point. The defense is a train wreck. And it looks like it may be unfixable. But this strategy does put the final nail in the Superbowl coffin for the Lions.

@jeffengland2791 4 hours ago

This ship is sinking.

@Nick-m5y4v 7 hours ago

Play calling on both sides of ball needs to be disected. Instead of celebrating every 8 yards let's celebrate at the end with a win, looks dumb when they act like they never went ten yards and have a dance routine for it. Maybe practice football instead of dance moves.
