I used Slippery Dicks walnut oil to finish a nice stock on my Anschutz, and it has come out nicely, I made a small cloth bun to apply the oil, several very thin coats, this was the method used by an old gunsmith I knew when I was a young lad, worked a treat.

I used these products and can vouch for them 100%

Sweet

Great vid I'll get some ordered thanks.

Nice looking stock! Good job

Nice

Good work I worked with a lot of walnut stocks I will  try this ✌🏼

Splendid video.  Truly appreciate your time and information. Regards, Philadelphia Pa. USA

Suuuuper well explained video!
Also love the accent! Yorkshire?

I have had trouble with wire wool leaving small shards embedded under someone the finish.  I was using the more fragile 0000 , so maybe my fault.  Filling the pores by sanding in progressively less of the finish I used took me 15 hours of work and several weeks drying.   Not all guns are deserving of that amount of time, so I am interested in your product.  Thanks for posting.

Fantastic instructional video.
Thank you bud 🙏👍

Would you do this with the Alkanet oil too?

Are you using the oil on the checkering or leaving it ?

Morning mate i know it's an old video but when will you have more stock on you're website

How many times???  Is that 3 times lol

What about the inlaid oval? Won't it end up covered in layers of streaky oil and not show its clean metal face for engraving?

How many coats did you say please?
