There is something about women mangaka that gives them the talent to use some grotesque in their works, and it turns out very stylish. Like Dorohedoro and Gachiakuta
Kei Urana’s work is one of my biggest art inspirations ever. I don’t think I’d ever continue drawing if it weren’t for her and her work. I’m a huge fan of the Gachiakuta series and can’t wait for the anime adaptation to come out. Thank you Studio Bones and Kei Urana for making this series become a real anime!
Picked the manga up because of the art style and didn’t stop reading it because of the story, characters and awesome fighting system. Hope this manga and anime blow up massively
Don’t feel too bad about not nailing the pronunciation of Gachiakuta, YouTube’s auto-subtitles had an even harder time and pretty much spelled it a different way every time
Recently I started end thinking about how important the vibe of a work is Because so many things even if great get forgotten easily for not having a distinct look or vibe Just look at call of the night, I watched it on a whim and liked it but thought it won’t be something I’ll really think about a lot But I still haven’t forgotten the vibes it had, it’s unique vibe is the reason its beloved by so many people to this day I hope gachiakuta is the same cause it looks like it
