"I just want a fishing that that's DND focused."
Well, the World of Io has a book. "Why Slay Dragons When You Could Be Fishing?"

I believe bubs is a goblin/halfling but they joked he’s a “Gobbit” a goblin hobbit.

The world of Io is made up of a bunch of campaigns all set in the same world but on different continents of the fractured world

Bubs: "Bubs can call Mum anytime Bubs want!"
DM: "You can call them any time?"
DM realizing that Bubs is admitting to being a Necromancer "HOOOOAAAAAAHHHH!!!"

When you can make even the DM scream in horror, you've done a great thing.

2:19 A holy father, his psychotic wife, and their traumatized son reflect as their hobo protector reminiscences. A modern painting.

Somebody ssid the reason she wanted to carve up that monster was because she was in a previous campaign where that was a core mechanic for upgrading gear ect,

Putting Garr as the first clip is a bold choice....but very murderorable

I had to look this up. Gap moe (ギャップ萌え) is a Japanese term describing the charm or attraction felt when a character’s behavior contradicts their appearance or reputation (e.g., a scary character being kind). It highlights a "gap" between perceived and actual personality, creating an endearing, often romanticized, sense of surprise

20:10 Gap Moe is more or less when a character's external interactions doesn't match thier internal thoughts or feelings. so the thing slyvia was doing was in fact Gap Moe.

I'm genuinly so happy more people are reacting to the World of Io shorts cause' their campaign is genuinely so fucking good and well written. They deserve so much love
(finished phase 2 of their campaigns a couple months ago, started phase 3 like 1 month ago and it's awesome)

Also the Al (speak with dead) short is still my favorite. Being able to just ignore the rules of a spell because you are just that great of a wizard is awesome (also I just really like Al from phase 2)

17:03 a half plate of armor doesnt cover the whole body. it can consist of a helmet, pauldrons, breastplate, gauntlets and some greaves.
it leaves a lot of body parts uncovered but offers more mobility.

9:37 - someone has yet to watch casual geographic's 7 fish more frightening than sharks.

I love the DMs reaction right before Bubs' mom summon reveal 💀

20:09 "Gap Moe" refers to the cuteness you find in a person having a stark mismatch of traits. A prime example is a really serious, no nonsense character who acts like a kid about eating vegetables, or is afraid of getting a shot at the doctor. Or a tiny, adorable character who always talks about serious topics, like taxes and bills.

26:11 Fun fact:
On the tabletop short version of this short, you can see as each undead pops up on the initiative tracker. It’s a party of 5. There’s over 4 times that amount for the amount of undead.
They beat that with no casualties.
