I also thought that the selfie shot was VFX until i saw this one behind the scenes video on tiktok, and i was so stunned about the walls actually MOVING, so those were ALL PRACTICAL EFFECTS THEY USED!!!

00:33 the choreographer is ROBBIE BLUE!

wait til he finds out the girls learned the choreo in 1 day

8:49 The white cube setup is also real. they put some sort of device behind the walls to make it vibrate or wobble. Still shot on the same location as per the BTS video but I think the cube setup is now at one of GAP HQ stores where customers can actually do a dance experience inside the cube.

I also love that they used a song that most people know and love but also made sure it wasn’t a song that people hate for being overplayed.

He paused it just at the right time to catch Dani and Megan running in the whip pan. Which is a crazy detail to add in lol

You know you did a good job when an editor is missing your cuts 😭

i like this

Actually the room/walls "breathing" were real! I think they called it the "breathing room". Practical effects! 😊

There should be more talk about that the director is the same from Lady Gaga´s "Abracadabra", Bethany Vargas.

Am i the only one that noticed that katseye does their symbol on the overhead shot 10:13

there was actually a cut with sophia turning to lean on yoonchae. if you look at it by frame, there were two different takes that was put as a match cut. then for sure dani was also rotoscoped there beside manon because you can actually see the masking of her legs, her shin specifically, and how it was quickly revealed as she was being dragged. still skeptical about the transition between dani and the reveal of the triangle formation being one take as it could also be two different shots, one with only dani and another with only the people behind her in the triangle

i know the gap ad was obviously made months in advance but i think it says a lot that they used brown denim on the dancers instead of traditional blue, because in sydney sweeney's ad she literally says "my jeans are blue" comparing that to this ad featuring a global girl group and brown jeans which aren't super common. this ad is just simply perfect in every way and the release timing was insaneeeeeeeeeee

Idk anything about speed ramps, but as a dancer I know people of their caliber can, in fact, just put their leg up by their face that fast. The blocking and formations are heroic though, no idea how long it took to coordinate that. Also the perfectly in sync twerking. Impressive.

you know it's big when jordan orme posts it on his second channel

The choreographer's name is Robbie Blue. He also choreographed Doechii's "Denial is a river".

I also thought those walls at 9:03 were fake but seeing the bts of this shoot, it seems that the walls were actually real and the warbling was a practical effect!

they not only cooked, my good sir. THEY ATE.

Jordan, stop trying to make "cracked" happen. It's not going to happen.
