The Chicago Pile achieved criticality on 2 December 1942, and within 2 years, there were production reactors at Hanford, Oak Ridge and Los Alamos. You are not going too fast, the bureaucracy is too slow and bloated. You have my respect and complete support. I wish you great success. Love from an American in Canada.
Yes the early nuclear developers built reactors fast. They also built a lot of designs with serious flaws that injured people. For the sake of our industry, please move no faster than necessary to make sure your units are safe to build and operate.
SpaceX showed the legacy rocket producers how to do things quickly, cheaply, and with better engineering. I think you guys are going to do the same thing for this industry, I suspect the hydrocarbon energy producers will be the one fighting you indirectly via politicians, Good luck, I hope you succeed.
The questions not asked or answered in this video:
Why is Valar so worried about "fast" instead of efficiency? Why are we in such a competitive race? For what?
Let's talk top-down big-picture, here. We have a society of pissed off and mislead because big tech and power isn't talking about WHY all of this extremely rapid development is even happening or necessary.
Clearly what we need is speed when it comes to this industry that is fueled by greed and grift due to the AI goldrush. Any company getting involved with this is in it for the money, nothing else.
Bro this is just marketing. Nuclear energy has been safe for a loooong time. You’re just trying to have the morons out there unlearn what oil companies propagandized.
Stick to first principles, take off, and put hydro out of its misery.
