a bit of my soul died watching him collect all the blue spheres individually

36:00 my soul left my body when I saw him jump clear over the first stretch of rings, immediately after having read his objective out loud

Choc: "Get 40 rings, no problem."
Also Choc: Jumps over rings

the fact that you still call Sonic's world "Mobius" over 24 years after the it being no longer canon is great

"if youcould sum up your childhood in one word what would it be?"
"Sonic."
"Ok, then, sum it up in two words."
"Sonic 2."

39:01 "Hey its grounder!" Tails proceeds to murder him"

59:00 those rocks you can't break as sonic are there to take you the alternative route through the level when you're playing as knuckles. You go underground for the rest of the zone 👍

I Hope Sonic Frontiers is AMAZING

17:00 Goku went Super Saiyan for the first time in March of 1991, just 3 months before Sonic 1 came out

I was the same. I only had the original Sonic 3 as a kid, so I went my whole life without knowing how to break those rocks. Twenty years later, I finally played Knuckles' story in Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and it blew my mind to learn there was another route hidden in the level I'd played a thousand times. And it had always existed there, even though Knuckles wasn't playable yet in the original.

35:43 here’s an answer to your question: in one of the manuals for one of the sonic games it says that tails TAUGHT sonic how to spindash

39:02 Ultimate betrayal

58:27
I'll take Lines That Didn't Age Well for 400

20:11 my soul died when i realised that's the US soundrack...

59:01
No, actually.
That's Knuckles.

You use Knuckles to break the rocks.

He has his own routes.

Also, during the 4th special stage, what you do is loop around the squares of blue spheres, and then they'll turn into rings.
