You thought you had a problem fixing engines, this guy only has ONE hand.   Bravo!

A fellow small engine mechanic here. Great job buddy. I was very impressed with your diagnoses and your repair. You take pride in your work, and I like that!!

Great Video! I was a Diesel mechanic for Caterpillar for 20 years and I appreciate your work ethic.

The amount of skill you gotta have to be able to explain everything, take a proper video, do everything without issues step by step. All while being young and having 1 freaking hand. I was about half way through the video before realizing. You’re a soldier my dude 💪 makes me less nervous taking apart the engine thank you

After watching your video, I am convinced that if I ever have this problem, I have no business attempting this repair.  Definitely a job for you.  Always enjoy your videos, you're a very talented mechanic.

We watched this video because we suspected we also had a blown head gasket. Needless to say, I have very little mechanical ability but our Troy Bilt Super Bronco is a life saver for us where we live, from mowing to snow blowing. Having few people around us to help us, we have to learn to fix things ourselves. Brad is such a great teacher, his ability to show you how to do things in a step by step process, showing you the right tools to use and what not to do has been invaluable to us. We took our heads off the engine today and yes we do have a blown head gasket. Parts are ordered and we are confident we will have no problems replacing them and having our tractor run like new. Thank you so much for making this video!!

I just spent like a month working on this engine, wish I had found this video earlier! Great channel btw

I have watched a ton of videos and I mean a lot of of them. Not to take anything away from anybody else, but you perform this service, exceptionally efficient, straightforward very very educational. My hats off to you, sir.

Man your videos are so good. Congrats to you and your video team. Really clear instructions and great attention to detail. So helpful. Found one of your vids from a couple of years ago and subscribed straight away. I watch a lot of these sorts of channels and yours are right up there with the best. You should teach. Kids would really relate to your attitude and way of explaining. Very accessible. I'm absolutely positive your channel is going to flourish. This is definitely how I like to learn. Cheers and best wishes from Perth, Western Australia. Keep 'em coming. I'll be there to watch.

Having just bought a new CC XT1 46", I've started a library of your videos that are relevant  to me. You certainly provide great content, and knowledge!!!!

A master of your craft!  Great job...  note:  As followup, saw how you whizzed about the head gasket repair, so I just bought a Milwaukee ratchet kit like yours due to being impressed with the way you made it look like a tool everyone should have.  Not sure I will be a better mechanic, but at least it will make me feel like one.  Cheers!

You've given me the confidence to go ahead and attempt this repair myself. Thank you for the information

I just discovered your video in my YouTube feed. Exceptionally well-done. You're articulate, precise and the camera work allows the viewer to see everything. I have the identical engine in my 2015 Hustler zero-turn Raptor. By 2017 I was hearing the "swosh" from one cylinder on engine shutoff and it was indeed a blown head gasket (with not more than about 100 hours logged). Had a local shop do the work and has been running fine ever since. I'm really thinking it was a Kohler design flaw as I've been pretty dedicated to monitoring/managing all fluids.

Again, much thanks for posting such an effective DIY video. Will bookmark it and do the work myself next if there's a "next time".
Continued success!

June 9th, 2026. First time I've seen any of your videos hats off to you. You've done an incredible job on helping out so many people what's your tutorial videos after watching this video I am 100% certain I've got at least one blown head gasket last summer I paid $1,400 to have a tune-up on My bad Boy mower with the 7000 series motor it came back worse than it was when I dropped it off no I have complete confidence in my wrenching ability and am very appreciative of your attention to detail I would like to know what manual you use that includes torque specs etc. thank you for the time and great effort you put into your videos it is very much appreciated you've got another viewer for life!

Wow, absolutely great....
After watching this twice I replaced my head gasket.
You made it simple. :)

Thank you for your posts.  I have a Scags with the Kohler 7000 Series engine and your videos have been very helpful.  I appreciate the pace and all of the details you share.

You did a very nice job you explained exactly what you were doing also the fact that you have one hand makes your work even more incredible I had to do the same job on 24 horsepower Kohler but it was in an exmark machine and we had to pull the engine before we could get to it and we did both heads at the same time but your video was excellent

Great job and thank you for the tear down process, I just tore into my tractor today it's a 2015 Husqvarna tractor and you are the third video I have watched and all blown head gaskets were on the same side as mine was, so I ordered the Stan's head gasket kit and after wrestling with the heat shields the whole process is pretty straightforward so I am looking forward to a tractor that runs on two cylinders instead of one cylinder so I think I paid myself roughly $100 an hour today to get this job done, tomorrow I will finish it up and give it a test drive

very well done video.  great dialogue and skill.

That was an excellent diagnostic (swishing sound).  Mine had it, followed your video, replaced the gasket  and the mower runs great again.  THANKS!
