Welcome to Episode 9 of the Morocco Travel Series!
Today we are diving right into the heart of the city to explore the famous Souks and the Marrakech Medina.
Starting with a relaxing ride in a horse-drawn Calèche carriage past the 19km walls, we step into the massive maze of the souks.
I share essential survival tips for the medina, including how to avoid snake and monkey scams in Jemaa el-Fnaa, why you should stick to local cash, and how to successfully haggle 40% to 50% off shop prices.
We also try local babouche snail soup, grab lunch at Mechoui Alley to eat slow-roasted pit lamb, hang out at a rooftop sunset café as the night market comes alive, and experience a 6-hour flight delay heading home!
This wraps up our final on-the-ground day exploring Morocco, but we still have a few more episodes left in this series.
