🇲🇦 THIS PLACE SHOCKED ME! Welcome to BENI MELLAL, MOROCCO… and I think Mr Travelon may have found his new DREAM LOCATION! 😂
Forget what you think you know about travelling around Morocco. Today we’re exploring Beni Mellal, a beautiful Moroccan city sitting between Marrakech and the Middle Atlas Mountains — and this turned into one of the biggest surprises of our Morocco road trip!
And then I found DOUGHNUTS FOR AROUND 20P! 🍩😂
That’s it. I’m moving here.
If you’ve heard stories about tourists getting charged inflated prices in Morocco, Beni Mellal felt like a completely different experience for us. Fantastic value, friendly people, incredible scenery and hardly the same tourist madness you find in places such as Marrakech.
But cheap doughnuts are only the beginning…
🏰 We head up to the famous Ain Asserdoun Kasbah, overlooking Beni Mellal, for some spectacular views across the city and surrounding landscape.
💦 Then we visit Ain Asserdoun, the natural spring and gardens that are one of Beni Mellal’s best-known attractions. Water flows through the park beneath the mountain, surrounded by greenery, cafés, families and locals simply enjoying the area.
And Mr Travelon is genuinely SHOCKED.
WHY ISN’T EVERYONE TALKING ABOUT THIS PLACE?!
This is exactly why I love travelling beyond the obvious tourist destinations. Marrakech gets millions of visitors, but head further into Morocco and you start discovering places like Beni Mellal.
In this video we show you what Beni Mellal is REALLY like, including the streets, local prices, food, Ain Asserdoun spring, the park, the kasbah, the views and what you can expect if you're thinking about visiting.
