my face lights up when she says “can I say something real quick?” and I know it’s about to be half the episode

the thing about the broski report is that if u aren’t locked in for ONE minute you won’t have any clue how brittany moved from topic to topic

I liked how refreshing Epicurius’ philosophy was (comparing to Aristotle, Plato, etc.). That life is not about seeking the higher purpose and existence outside of ‘life’. This quote of his kind of sums up what you read: “Death does not concern us, because as long as we exist, death is not here. And when it does come, we no longer exist.”

Happy six months since you said "I don't know who I'm gonna be in 6 months, but I know I'm gonna like her" 💕 I'm so happy for you and everything you've been doing lately

"I do not fear death. I had been dead for billions and billions of years before I was born, and had not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it." - mark twain. Essentially, you didnt mind not existing before you were born, thus you shall not mind when you are dead either. Helps me deal.

28, i’m a bioarchaeologist and when you unearth a human and greet them for their first time in a very long time… it’s profound and sometimes beautiful. many ways to look at it

Nothing makes me happier than waking up on a Tuesday morning and looking for this podcast like it’s my vape

I've been seeing this quote around  A LOT "From my rotting body, flowers shall grow, and I am in them, and that is eternity," - Edvard Munch

Growing up, I was deeply afraid of death, so much so that it often triggered panic attacks. The only thing that truly helped me find peace with the idea of dying was reconnecting with nature. I stopped seeing myself as a separate, individual life and started to understand myself as part of something greater, the living world around me.

When I die, my life as I know it will end, but I won’t be gone entirely. I’ll still be part of the living. My body will return to the earth, become soil, and nourish new life. In that way, I’ll continue—just in a different form, as part of the circle of life.

the sun in my ears, feet on the steering wheel, hands playing candy crush and ready to plow through this ep

grunting & chanting at my desk

one of my favorite quotes, "anything as universal as death must be a blessing"

SCREAMING, "THIS ISN'T HELPING" AT THE LAPTOP, WHEN YOU SEARCHED THE STUFF UP IN THE FIRST PLACE. I FEEL THIS SO INTENSELY

For the fear of death or dealing with death and grief I like to remember the quote from Chidi in The Good Place, which I’m sure you’ve seen but if you haven’t you NEED to you would love it.

“Picture a wave in the ocean. You can see it, measure it - its height, the way the sunlight refracts as it passes through - and it's there, you can see it, and you know what it is, it's a wave. And then it crashes on the shore and it's gone. But the water is still there. The wave was just... a different way for the water to be for a little while. That's one conception of death for a Buddhist: the wave returns to the ocean, where it came from and where it's meant to be… None of this is bad.”

I truly love the community that Brittany has been able to form. There is no other content creator that makes me feel so understood and brings so much light to the human experience. Brittany, you’re the kind of person that should be famous 🥲 You deserve every good thing coming your way ❤️❤️❤️

Ya know, Ms. Broski, I was actually dead for a little bit once and had my heart restarted! All I can say is that it’s really not that bad.
There was a panic at first when I realized I was dying and there was nothing I could do about it, made worse by the fact that my consciousness stayed active the whole time — so I knew what was happening.
Essentially, my body fell away, and all I can compare it to is if you zoomed out. You know those TikToks where people go on Google Earth and zoom out as far as they can? It was like that, but with my soul. I just stayed there, this little bundle of energy (so I guess it’s true what they say about the soul being pure energy that can never be destroyed).

Anyway, after the panic started to dilute, I was overcome with this sense of clarity and peace and this weird knowing — like I had been there before and understood everything, while still somehow feeling naive and small at the same time.
I honestly think there’s more accuracy to that whole “soul contract” doctrine than we give credit to.
And I learned that no matter what you do in this life, that’s what you eventually return to: that pure consciousness, that ball of energy sputtering and shimmering.

It was peaceful.
Then I felt my soul moving — like I was being pulled somewhere else, like there was a part two waiting for me. But before I could really give in, I was tugged back and slammed into my physical body.
Suddenly I was awake in a hospital, with a nurse and my mom peering over me, and every human emotion and instinct came crashing back into me at once.

When you’re dead, all that human noise and fear goes away. You’re reacquainted with the knowledge that you’re part of something way bigger than “this.”
When you die, you’re gone — but you’re also not, at all.

Now I say all this to say: the best way I can equate the experience is like sitting in a waiting room after hours.
Hope this helps! ❤

as a nihilist who's an ex-christian, i just want to say i think it's so amazing how you share your existencial crisis with everyone in a way that can truly save lives. you go through it on camera, you look for a solution on camera, you doubt the solutions on camera, and then you just realise you need to accept for your own well-being on camera. i cannot imagine a better and healthier influencer for the people. you keep it very real but you're also super responsible. thank you so much

Not Brittany talking the theoretical physics of multiverse travel in a Deja Vu way of interpreting lime loops in the temporal non-deviations of universe hopping, WHAT THE FUCK QUEEN I've been studying this for 5 years and she just gets it?! WHY is she so smart

I think RuPaul said on his podcast one time that he meditates on his own death every morning. Like imagining himself as dead and the world moving on without him, and it helps him approach each day as more precious.

I “died” after having a csection (I bled out internally after the surgery), slowly lost consciousness, they saved me, woke from coma a week later. Year long recovery but my baby and I survived.

Dying is super easy. Super quiet. Living is hard. But life is short and weird. Looking forward to living to a ripe old age and then falling into the arms of a hot Jesus
