Wonderful lesson! The words of Isaiah are so important, and there are so many layers of truth to this book. How amazing that Nephi wrote the words of Isaiah for us to have, perhaps in a purer form. Thank you for helping me analyze my man-made traditions so that I can purge them from my life. Thank you, Dr. Hilton!

As I was listening to you today, the spirit shared with me that the reason the Prophets are so confident and optimistic is because they have seen the Lord on his throne. Our day is full of contention and strife and yet they are optimistic. This is why. That is why we need to keep our eye on the Savior and his teachings and his Prophets.

I can testify of the incredible miracle that the Book of Mormon is to us in these latter days! It was given by revelation and when read in the Spirit of Revelation, it wil CHNAGE YOUR LIFE. Praise our Father and His Son Jesus. We have everything we need to do our work in our time. Onward, Brothers and Sisters! We have so much to look forward to!

I love how the Lord repeats patterns such as the sealed book with both the ancient Jews and the Latter-Day Saints in order for us to recognize when it is His work and when it is not.

Thank you Brother Hilton for pointing out that the Book of Mormon protects us from false teachings. In this day of AI that is so relevant! It also dawned on me this time around studying CFM that reading The Book of Mormon daily helps us to keep the Lord’s commandment in 3 Neph 23
1 And now, behold, I say unto you, that ye ought to search these things. Yea, a commandment I give unto you that ye search these things diligently; for great are the words of Isaiah.

I will add my testimony to Elder McConkie. Following Jewish tradition, Nephi, Jacob and others who quote Isaiah or other prophets then expound on what they just quoted.

Also, the Book of Mormon has Isaiah passages that predate the Dead Sea Scrolls, so we not only have the oldest copy of Isaiah, but a contemporary commentary as well.

When we enter our rest, we cease striving to obtain salvation, being clothed in the righteousness of Jesus Christ, during this latter rain revival.

Likewise, God rested the 7th day, having completed all the constituents that would set in motion the salvation of Jesus Christ, knowing the end from the beginning, the seed now planted.

The human tradition is physical rest. The spiritual requirement is Spiritual REST, the kind of rest you receive with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, that some do not enter due to unbelief.
